Numb Nipples

I had my breast augmentation 11/28/06. How long does it take for sensation to return to your nipples?? They are completely numb

Hi! I have a little sensation in them...I can really feel it when it's cold. They're still a little numb, but don't worry give it a couple weeks

Oh my! I could feel my nipples from day one, but they didn't hurt and weren't numb at all. When the stithes that didn't absorb were removed on day 17 post-op, my nipples were way sensitive. That lasted for about 3 weeks, and now they're back to normal. (I'm almost 7 weeks post-op.)

I had surgery the same day you did.
Mine are also numb at the moment. My hubby is pretty bumbed about that and so am I but I hope to recover feeling.
Just give it some time, you know......they do say that some don't recover feeling at all, so also be aware that it is a possibility.

I am 13 weeks out and mine are STILL numb

It can take up to a full year.

I'm two weeks out and one I can feel (and could immediatly post op) and the other is numb. I also have numbness down the breast to almost the crease on that same side.

its possible you could never get the feeling back in your nipples...just depends on your body....sad thing about having a breast augmentation. thats a risk

I had a full anchor lift with breast augmentation on 10-3-06. I have feeling in the right nipple and have from the day of surgery. I have no sensation at all in my left nipple. However, I am hopeful that I will regain sensation.

My right's been OK from 1 day post but left's been kinda numb. I know it's been more than 4 years now but it's not completely recovered yet.

Oh my god 4 years!!!! I have slight feeling in my right now and my left feels a bit weird, so hopefully I'll get complete feeling in that as well.

Im only 2 weeks post op, and I had aeriola...Ive had nipple sensation from day one but not nearly as sensitive as before, and totally numb from my insicion to the crease on the bottom of my breasts. BUT...then today I pulled my tape off the stitches for the first time and WOW! It was like way more sensitive than before

I have the opposite problem. Mine are way too sensitive. I cannot go braless because the fabric rubbing is too painful. I had another post op yesterday and my ps said it would probably be about 6 weeks. I would imagine it would be the same or similiar for the numbness.

Patience is diffintely a virture!!!!!!!! I am 6mths post op and I have about 80%feeling back.. .but it took serveral months... 3-4 mths before I even started to get some kinda of feeling back.

Yes. I'm not sure if that's related to my left's slightly bigger than my right.
I've read in somewhere that "the sensation" may not be back to the same post OP, and it's quite common.

i actually wish my nips were numb instead. they are ultra sensitive in a bad way. clothes hurt when they brush against them. i have to make sure to wear bras with some sort of lining to protect them.
