![]() | Hello girls! Can someone reassure me that Im going to be ok?. Today I had a panick attack when I woke up. I'm only 5 days post my breast augmentation and I just feel that my boobs look terrible. I was feeling great the first couple of days as far as pain goes, but I just look at them and don't like how distortioned they look. My pain meds are done and my ps won't give anymore, I feel like if I have an elephant sitting on me. And they just look horrible. How long before they look like boobs again???. I see my ps tomorrow. |

Hey, Pam. I'm 11 days post op breast augmentation with a lift and TT. I still feel a lot of pressure, especially in the morning when I first wake up. There's a lot of swelling that you have to get past. If you had a lift along with the augmentation, you can expect even more swelling. My sister-in-law is at about the 1 month mark post op and her's have dropped somewhat and do look like real boobs. Mine at this point look strange from the side with the implants riding very high and my own breast tissue down below. Be patient. When they settle, everything will look the way it's supposed to. By the way, I'm also on Long Island, so hello neighbor! |

I'm a little over 4 weeks post op....and believe me, it does get better! It just takes time - some days I actually felt like I went backward (instead of improving, I felt worse than the previous day) but then the next day I would feel better again. It took me about 7 days to start feeling back to normal, 14 days before I could sleep on my side and before I didn't feel like I had canteloups duct taped to my chest, and about 21 days before I quit having morning boob! As far as the look of my boobs - I didn't like the look of them right away either. Just be sure to take pictures on a daily or weekly basis so you can see your progress. This way you can more clearly see that they are changing like they're suppose to! Again, just give it time...before you know it all the worst will be over and you'll be in love with your new additions! |

hi Pam, did you tell your ps you had a panic attack? maybe he could prescribe you something to help you relax a little. mine offered me Xanax but i never picked it up from the pharmacy, although i wish i had, lol. if youre still having alot of pain/discomfort maybe he could prescribe you something else. at around my 3rd wk or so i got really claustrophobic once. i wanted to rip my clothes off, lol, b/c of all the pressure & tightness. youre gonna feel better soon it just takes some time. its still VERY early for you. try & concentrate on making yourself more relaxed & comfortable for now. try not to look at your boobs so much if at all possible. that has helped me & my boobs are still healing. maybe take some pics to watch your progress but dont look at them so much. take some slow deep breaths & think pleasant thoughts, easier said than done i know but try & relax sweetie. xoxoxoxo

Don't worry! It took me 2 weeks to start to get excited about them. They look even better now. They still are sore but SO much better than my original set. :-)

So sorry sweetie, but post op blues is common. It hit me around day 4 and all I could think was "WHY DID I DO THIS?" Time and patience is needed more post op than before. It really does get better.

I am a slow healer, I didn't feel better until about 2 weeks post-op. I took pain killers for a week and a half, and still use them from time to time when I don't feel well. It's weird cause one day I feel great and then the next I feel lousy, but the pain has definitely gotten better. I wake up with morning boob everyday but as I move around they start to soften up and the pain subsides. You will be fine, it just takes time. Try calling your ps again see if he will give you pain meds, your the customer and you are paying his salary. The least he can do is make you more comfortable while your body heals. Don't worry about your boobies not looking perfect right now, as days go on they will start to drop and look better. I hope you feel better soon!

![]() | Hey Pam, I am on day eight and I have good days and bad days. I love how they look sometimes, and then I look at them and try to find things wrong with them. I also, have had the "Boobie Blues" the past few days where I just feel blah! I hope this will go away. I do have a few pain meds left and I take them in the evening to sort of calm me down as well. I will great in the day time and then by night I am exhausted. It seems like everyone feels sort of this way so it sure helps to know we are not alone. Try to enjoy the Holidays! Take care! Amygee |

You poor girl. I understand completely how you feel. And the girls are all right...it takes awhile for you to heal...you've been through alot, and your poor boobs took a beating. Anytime anyone asks me my opinion on B.A's, or recovery, the most important thing for me to say it "You will hate them at first". I swear, almost everyone I've spoken to has said the same. I hated my boobs, they were too big, too stinking heavy, too lumpy... I swelled up all the way to my collar bone, so I just looked really, really fat. lol. I cried, I cursed my Dr.....and now I absolutely love them. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Hang in there...you will get there soon, and then you'll see, it's all worth it. You are going to look and feel fantastic.

Just take it day by day.....that's what I keep telling myself too. It's hard to see the difference just by looking sometimes......but if I look at the first couple of photos I took and put them beside newer ones, I can see results starting to come. Everyone heals at a different rate, so if you take some pics that allow you to see your own progress starting I think it helps alot. I know it's really hard to be patient, but soon enough you're gonna look and feel great! I wish you a speedy recovery.
