![]() | dreading the return to work! Hi ladies! I return in 7 days to work. And you know what? Other than the fact that my mom-in-law will be in town tomorrow, I mostly dread the reaction of my coworkers! I mean, I trim my bangs and my coworkers can't stop talking about it for days!! BUT...I kinda played a little sneaky with a few of my coworkers. Several know what is up, but before my Christmas vacation other coworkers were commenting on my taking 2 weeks off at Christmas. So, know what I did?? **I pointed to my nose and said, "Well, I'm having an elective plastic surgery procedure." (giggle) One nurse said, "Ohhh, um, why would you want to do that? You have a lovely nose." So I told her, "Yes, but after having three children, it has shrunk considerably." ** HAHA...so hopefully, at least a few of them anyway, will be studying my FACE and not my chest! Also, I am getting new glasses...another diversion! I know it probably seems silly, but just wanted to share my big dread! peace sistas! |

Hi Terrie! It helps to share big or little dreads sometimes! And you know others have the same concerns. The new glasses sound like a good plan. And the nose? Too funny! You'll be fine. You sound like you've got a good sense of humor and that'll help you deal with those co-workers.BTW - Your Avatar pic is awesome!! I love it! |

Hi Terrie. I think that is so funny. I love the pointing to the nose thing. That is hilarious. Please let us know what happens. I don't know what I am going to do.

I couldn't stop laughing. You know that was something that I had in the back of my mind also. Is walking in with these huge boobs and trying to divert the attention off. My feelings are it's a personal choice for us women to get elective surgery. The problem with elective surgery is when we put the boobs in. I thought to myself, lightweight jackets and not so clingy tops to get everyone use to the sight!

hi Terrie, i know what you mean about dreading going back to work, i dread it all the time anyway, not just when i went back after my breast augmentation, lol. those gossipy nurses, ugh!!! how on earth do they find the time to gossip anyway? im always so busy, lol! anyway, i wear scrubs at work & you cant even tell i got a breast augmentation, i think i look almost the same b/c i used to wear push up/padded bras all the time. you know, that is EXACTLY why i didnt tell any of my co-workers, i would be the talk of the entire hospital if i did. it sounds like you have a good plan, goodluck!

TODAY, is my first day back and i was awake half the night stressing about what i should wear so it wouldn't be obvious. i finished work early before the hols to get my breast augmentation and told my job nothing about it. when i came in, i felt like they were all looking at my 'bumps' (all male environment) but in reality i don't think they were, i'm just a bit paranoid. i've worn a chunky cardigan and a scarf thats hanging over my bits, i'll have to easy into the thinner clothes for the spring/ summer. |

I totally sypamathise with you. I too was dreading the return to work but I wore gillets and jumpers for my last few shifts at the my old job so I don't think anyone noticed, then I found out I got a new job which starts on January 8th so I've had two weeks off work altogether and my colleagues at my new job never saw me without boobs so they never saw me any different, I guess I'm just lucky on this one and timed it well. I really feel for you guys with this worry, it's horrid thinking people will be gossiping behind your back. Great idea about the glasses diversion tho!!

I was totally worried about this too...as I told only one person at work! But it ended up that nobody noticed anything! I wore button down shirts with sweaters over it and you couldn't even tell! I now wear whatever I want and it looks pretty close to what I looked like in the padded bras! Don't stress out over it too much! The thing I would worry about it hugging...one of the people I work with hugged me right when i got in to say how much I was missed for the week! And I was so afraid she would feel my rocks on my chest! There is enough to worry about without adding what others are going to going to say. Good luck! Tracy |

I didnt tell anyone at work and when I went back today nobody said anything, I got a few double glances but im not sure what they double glanced lol. I did pad out a bit before, but not to this size. Ive gone from a 34a to a 34d-36c. I wore a loose fitting top and slightly more make up than usual, I also dyed my hair a bit lighter. Hopefully that should confuse them enough lol. To be honest most people dont make a habit of staring at peoples boobs so they dont really notice anyway. Its just our own paranoia. Anyway who cares what they think as long as were happy |

Today was my first day back at work too. I told just about everyone at work so it wouldn't be a shock. Most people kept asking if I even had it done. They couldn't tell by the way I dressed. Layered in black. I took my sweater and shirt off to my cami to show a few of the supportive coworkers. They were like,'"Okay, I can see the difference now." I went from a small A to a so-far small C. Boy, my neck hurts and my back is stiff though. Heating pad, here I come.

![]() | Back to work...
This is one of my big worries! I have only told 2 ppl at work, both whom I am close with and don't want there to be a big reaction. Frankly, I am big up top to begin with and don't plan on going too much bigger, I am more about getting the lift than the breast augmentation, but I am scared they will be able to tell! Hopefully it all goes well for you!! I like the "elective surgery" bit, I may have to try that!! LOL!

It was kind of funny because I was dreading going back to work too, but when I got back, everyone had thought I'd taken a vacation to visit my family. My work clothes definitely diguised the fact I had it done, so in all, I was worrying about absolutely nothing! Even the one person who knew at work was saying how it was barely noticable in my work clothes. Don't freak out too much!

Thank you for posting about this subject... I'm nervous about all the talk too. I've told most of my co-workers anyway, for fear of visible shock in their eyes upon first sight LOL but I'm still one who doesn't like attention or to be on the spot... I'm hoping I'll look just a little bigger than my padded push up B bras perceived me to be.

Aww, I bet it's kind of nerve racking to have to go back to work after changing yourself. But I really think the nose thing will distract them, and then the glasses...you are so cool...cool as cucumber, girl! No one will even be thinking about your boobs...except you, lol! You really set things up for an easier return to every day life. Smart thinking! |

Good luck to ya going back to work! I love the nose bit! That's too funny! I work in a surgery center and some of the personnel there know my doctor and the nurses who cared for me during my surgery...there was no use hiding it so I told everybody! It was funny going back because EVERYONE was so interested in my boobs! I felt like a celebrity! haha! Oh well, it gave 'em something interesting to talk about.
