Swelling. How long does it last??

Hey everyone. How long did your swelling last after your BA? I know it is redundant and different for everyone but trying to get a consensus of average time for swelling to dissipate.

It seemed like it lastest quite a bit long for me. I think all noticeable swelling was gone by 6 weeks, but slight swelling would appear on me up to 4 months PO if I did any activity that used my chest muscles. My PS said it was not the norm, but nothing to get worried about. She said some people just take longer to heal than others. No swelling at all now and have no complications.

Almost all of my swelling was gone by the end of the fourth week though at the second week the difference was significant. It takes a while but it does happen!

That's great to know that it can last up to six weeks. I am about 11 days out and although i know that you see the results for a few months, I was starting to stress about the swelling can they are bigger than I would like. I was hoping it was swelling but starting to think that swelling would be done by now. What a huge relief to know that I can stop thinking about this for a while.

I believe my swelling is gone now, but how can we really know? If you look at my first pics from day five and the last pics from today, you can see they have changed

right now i can't give you an answer about swelling til after the 15 of Jan when I get my BA done. But what i can tell you is that im taking vitamedica herbal supplements presently til my surgery and after my surgery and i wil be taking bromelain 3 days prior to surgery and after and arnica montana after surgery. I was told this will help with swelling and bruising. I will let you know after surgery how it went

Hi girls. I'm 3 weeks post op and PS told me Wednesday that I probably still had a good 90 cc's of blood/fluid accumulation left that would take several more weeks to go away. Have had lots of issues lately with my leftie and it is quite bigger than my right so I really feel like he's right. I stressed big time about size my first few days/weeks postop, but now I realize it was all for nothing. I don't think any of us should worry about size until at least 6 months post op....then it we're not happy we can start stressing!!!

Swelling and how long does it last?

hello everyone! I am new to this forum and am freakin out just a little about everything. It's been 18 days post ba, I had 365cc round textured coh.silicone gel implants and breasts are still swollen and hard, more so my right breast. My left one seems to be doing ok right now. I am also having a bit more pain onmy right breast. My ps said no massaging I am guessing it's b/c of the implant being textured. I don't know, is this normal? Has anyone had a similar effect w/having round textured silicone over the muscle? Or am I just being paranoid?!

I'm going visual. I can't wear bras yet. I am still in a sports bra. I know they aren't small, they are measuring at a 34D/DD I need that little nudge...I think I'm either used to them or something. Hubby says they are huge!

I think alot of my worry comes because other gals were able to hit a D or F from 400 or less CC's and I used 550CC's...LOL....I dunno. I think boobs make us like kids again "But PS...her PS got her DD's and you only got me D's"....LOL

It sounds like everything is going normal for you...one will hurt bit more than the other because, although the boobs are a pair, nature doesn't know that, to your body, they are separate things, so will heal at different rates...many ps' dont recommend massaging textured implants, some do, but may not tell you to massage for quite a few weeks yet, always do what your ps says, not what you hear from someone else....happy healing !

Three and a half days post op

I am three and a half days post op and still have the drain tubes in. Getting them out in two days. I feel great. Hardly any swelling. The whole tube thing had me freaked out but they really help with the swelling. I also used ice packs the first two days and now can see hardly any swelling. I was a A cup and had 265 CC silicone to look more natural.
