So, regardless the rapid recovery or "traditional method", it IS actually going to be a square look..?
It is frightening like you say, unless it is expected. That's why most PS post 12 months post op before and after pics, right? Everyone's boobs look weird right after the procedure.

Regardless of the type of technique your surgeon uses, you may get the square, high look. It comes from swelling and other factors.

Surgeons may not show this look since it's only temporary. They prefer prospective patients see the end result.

Not everyone's boobs look weird after surgery. Again it just depends. Girls who get overs seem to look more "normal" right after surgery.

You will not see immediate results. A breast augmentation recovery takes up to a year for complete healing. I saw the most changes the first 6 month's and subtle changes up to a year.

omg part of me just died watching this video! I'm getting my breast augmentation this friday and I am s0ooo scared now your boobs look amazing now btw, but just knowing that I am going to look all boxy for a month is making me so sad....... im going to have to hide from my boyfriend, I'll be so embarrassed but I hope they turn out as beautiful as yours...

Hi I was wondering of you can help. I had 310 cc overs silicone textured teardrop for 10 years and had my boobies done as I was pretty flat to start with an A cup which put me to a C cup. I ended up woth a capsular contracture in my right breast so decided to get a redo 10 years on. I am now 3 weeks post op. I asked to go from a c to a D and I have round silicone textured. I feel they dont look much bigger. I asked for big but not pamela big. They seem to be wider and high up but from the sides they look kind of flat. also my lefty looks kind of square with shiny cleveage not in the middle (see pics) Am I getting a capsular contracture IN MY LEFTY now or was the pocket not made big enough or do I just have to wait. My lefty seems higher smaller square and nipple poniting out. Sorry if I am paranoid. I cant sleep I am so worried it will stay this way. Also will they get bigger or smaller. I have overs. Do they fluff as the tissue andskin stretches or witll the 435 cc end up smaller than my original 310 cc as I am really confused. SQUARE BREASTS NOT AS BIG AND LOOKING WIERD HELP!!!

At 3 weeks post op you have so many changes yet to go thru, so I wouldn't worry too much. As you can see in my video, I was high and square for several weeks. They are two separate surgeries, so they will heal at different rates. I would suggest you post your questions in a new thread and you will get many more replies than in this one. We also have a Ask A Surgeon forum.

Be sure to call or visit your surgeon about your concerns too. They know your situation best. Good luck and Happy Healing!

What a great visual for those of us about to get our 1st breast augmentation -- now I have some realistic idea of what to expect in the first year. Hello- I am getting my breast augmentation on a Friday but I want to go back to work on Monday. My job consist of pretty much just answering phones, typing all day and getting up to get printer reports from my printer. Will I be able to go back to work 3 days later?
