massaging to help drop?

If you massaged to help your breasts drop, what exactly did you do? What I do now is just 2-3 times a day do 8 reps of pushing the implant up by making a L shape with my hand and squeezing both sides up from the bottom into the top of the pocket, if that makes sense. Doesnt seem like that would really help them drop. . .

I was told to push breasts in toward each other, then up, then push them down, then push them out away from each other...20 times, twice per day.

I went for my one week post op yesterday and I am supposed to startt massaging. My PS wants me to use a flat hand and push the implant down, hold for 10 seconds. Push the implant out to the side, hold for 10 seconds, and push the implant inward (toward the other boobie) and again hold for 10 seconds. He wants me to do the push inward way three times each session and once each for the other directions. I am to do this at least three times a day. He LOVES giving explanations for everything and he said that when scar tissues first starts to form, its a sticky, glue-like substance. He says moving the implant around in the pocket helps form the scar tissue further around the pocket, instead of all tight on the implant, and in doing that, the implant will feel soft, and that is the point of massaging them. He also told me that I don't have to wear the strap anymore! Yay! I hated that strap!

It's a little tender at first. But once you start it feels so much better.

I was so scared to massage. I actually posted about it last week. One of the girls suggested doing it in the shower the first time. The hot water loosens the muscles and its just easier to do. Once you start doing it it is a lot less scary. Its a little tender, but it actually makes them feel better if they are feeling tight. It also helps if you have your bra off so you can see what youre doing, I didn't realize how little I had to actually move them to get them to touch the way my PS said. Hope that helps!

My PS had me start massaging at 2wks. I had to place the palm of my hand right above the nipple, then push the implant up until I felt it tug in the crease under the breast. As of yesterday I also have to start pushing the implant up by making a L shape with my hand and squeezing both sides up from the bottom into the top of the pocket.

i also went for my 1 week yesterday and my ps told me from day 1 after surgery to massage them every 30 minutes to an hour at the 12,3,6, and 9 o clock positions by using both hands (not fingertips) flat pressing straight back towards my rib cage for 15 seconds he specifically said not to push them to the left or right or up and down. but my right is really tender and sore at the 6 o clock position right above my incision. he said do not be afraid to press as hard as you can, the harder the better but sheesh it hurts! He did say it will help the pocket to not tighten around the implant and to help relieve the pain.
