underwire bra for one night?

i'm going to a party tonight and am wearing a very low cut dress so i don't want to wear my ugly support bra. is it the end of the world if i wear a pretty underwire bra for one night?

23 days PO, 375 saline, unders, crease.

I am sure you will be okay for one night. My PS actually has me wearing an undewire all the time. Mine was a redo, maybe that is why.

I think you can get away with the underwire for one night. Just try to make sure it's not putting pressure on your incisions.

I had an outing at about 3 weeks po and I snuck and underwire bra in just that one time. Just be sure it is not putting stress on your incisions. Have fun.

i wouldn't do it. its not worth it even for 1 night risking any kind of issues with it. if you're 23 days post op, you should still be high and look like you're rocking a push up bra. i have a danskin super low v sports bra that has amazing shape and support. here's me wearing it: http://www.justbreastimplants.com/fo...i-boobies.html at week 4 post op. ... and, the bra only costs $11 at wal-mart....

My PS had me wearing an underwire/cotton bra home from the surgery..and kept in on 24/7 for 2 weeks straight - which after then I was able to wear whatever/or no bra. I had armpit incisions -so, maybe that is why - but I seriously doubt one night is going to hurt you. My PS was actually more concerned about them dropping too much too fast (and losing perkiness) - thus the underwire. I mean, don't go against your PS instructions or anything - I suppose they go off of how your body is, etc. -but I am still trying to figure out why most of the other PSs are insistent on no underwire.

Not sure if I',m in the same boat as you but...I went with 325cc silicone and was a deflated A pre-breast augmentation. Mine dropped so fast I never had the high and tight issue - except day one. My PS says it is because my tissue has been stretched before from nursing two kids and gaining so much weight during pregnancy. I got unders so I am not sure I fully understand his reasoning but non the less, I wish mine had me wear underwires from the begining...

You should be fine for just a few hours. My PS actually has it in his FAQs.

you will be fine, but it will be uncomfortable as the night progresses. I couldn't wear bras at all for awhile, it just hurts after awhile. but they have these silicon bras that are just wonderful! No wires, no bands, sticky push-up bra. Gives you great cleavage. I got mine on at a "As seen on TV" store in the mall. its called the D'Eva bra and it is soooooooooo comfortable!!!! It doesnt even feel like u are wearing a bra at all. Plus it gives you an extra cup size!! So I'm like a small D cup in that bra.

Yeah, pretty much the same..except the silicone size..I went with 371cc/silicone/unders -- but anyways, yes, my PS said the same thing, that my tissue had been streched - two kids nursed as well - and mine didn't drop quite as fast as yours did - but, by the 3 week post op - he basically said that they were pretty much close to being done. Now - they have changed slightly since then - rounded out more - but, like you - didn't have too long a period of high/tight -maybe one week tops.

well i wore it and it was fine! i kept getting massive compliments on them actually LOL. it was tender underneath, over my incision but that my be bc the bra was a bit big on me. i've lost about 10lbs since my surgery (4 weeks ago) and so i'm no longer a 36" and that's what the bra is. i suspect there was consequently a bit more rubbing.

thanks for the advise ladies!

Wink

I think you will be fine just try it on at home for a couple hours and make sure its not killing you as long as you feel okay then I would say go for it I had 350cc's same incision as you and my PS told me after 2 1/2 weeks I could wear oe as long as i felt okay in it so I say as long as you feel okay GO FOR IT GIRL!

I was allowed to wear an underwire starting at 21 days. I'm sure you'll be fine. I found it was a little uncomfortable at first but that was all.
