![]() | How tight should Post Op Sports Bra be?
Okay. So I'm wearing a sports bra now, 2 days post op and it feels tight. I really don't know how tight is too tight. It's a zipper front Under Armour bra. Size Medium..I got 375 CC's. I assumed it would be big enough. I have another sports bra I got from Walmart that almost is too comfortable. My PS wants me to wear socks on the sides too and the tighter one keeps the socks in on the sides better. Is it good to have the bra pretty tight? My boobs are basically being smashed together forcing me to have cleavage...ugh! Any help is greatly appreciated. PS office is now closed..until Monday! PS- my back is killing me but this is normal, right and not from the tight bra? |

HI!! My PS said to make sure they cover the whole breast, has to be tight, and must have the same band size that I currently wear. I looked, and looked, and looked for another sports bra and could not find one that matched all of the criteria. I just ordered some more from my ps. I am getting a nude, white, and black one. It is the safest thing to do since you know that those work or they would not have put you on them after surgery. Plus your breasts are probably still swollen. I went for a fitting at a lingerie store and I am a 32DD/DDD so I have a white compression garment made by Marena (size M). Ask your plastic surgeon, the main reason why they are pushed close together at the beginning is so that they are not to far apart as for final results.

hey towson! maybe I can be of some help. I went my 3day PO appt today, and brought my bra along. I got a medium sized champion bra, with the front zipper, and the lady said it was the perfect size. It isnt terribly tight over my chest (I can easily stick a finger down the front), just enough so that it holds everything in place. I was 32AA, and got 339cc's.

![]() | oh! I can stick my finger down the widest part of each boob without too much trouble. Its a little tight, but not terribly. The assistant just said that the sports bra had to be pushing down on your boobs rather than up.

lol well I was wearing a 34DD sports bra for 5 weeks, got measured and I'm a 32F/FF/30G...so I don't think it matters too much if it's a little tight! had my 6 weeks post-op appointment before I got measured & they didn't say anything about it being unsuitable...it's a sports bra after all - supposed to squish you so they don't bounce...my sports bra was never pushing mine so they touched each other though, but it got to the point where it was squishing my leftie so much I felt sick....(hence why I went shopping after work that same day and got measured!) xx |

the sports bra that I got yesterday seemed really tight around the band. the Nurse stretched it a bit and it seemed to help. I changed it today for the same band size but a cup larger and feel much better. they are still all covered but the extra cup size added to the band width making it feel much more comfortable on my back.
