Nerve regeneration pain?

Over 3 mos post-op and having horrible nerve regeneration pain today (zingers! ouch!). I'm glad to know I'm still getting some feeling back because they are still numb in areas, but this hurts! I'm sure it's normal, but I thought I'd check just in case. Ok to have nerve pain this far out? Or is it something else?

Yep, normal. I had them even at 10 month's and I emailed my surgeon. He said it takes even up to a year for complete healing of nerves.

I'm about 3 1/2 months post op and I have been noticing nerve pain lately, too! Hoping to get my nipple sensation back. *Crosses fingers*

ME TOO!! I was just wondering yesterday if it was normal. I was having tons of zingers on my leftie and just soreness in general. I thought it was from working out but I'm so glad to hear it's not just me!

Thanks ladies! It's so strange how the nerve generation works. I'm completely fine now. I rarely have any of those kinds of pains. Now, I just notice soreness and a feeling of heaviness when I don't wear a bra to bed! I also think I went a little too large, but oh well. Not much I can do now b/c I'm definitely not having another surgery until it's necessary!

normal. mine got worse around 2-3 months, but I only get them every once in awhile now (I'm almost 8 months post op). when it happens, try putting a little pressure on the spot. it usually helps, for me anyway.

nerve regeneration pain...does it interfere with intimacy?

Ladies, for those of you with boyfriends/partners, how does the sensitivity of nerve regeneration interfere with how intimate you can be with your partners. In particular for those ladies who still experience sensitivity many months after surgery.

My nips have been tender since breast augmentation and I do not have a boyfriend - yet!

Tx,
Ginny

My husband is just careful on my nipples. That's really the only place I'm super sensitive. (On one anyway, the other is still kinda numb). The nerve pain really doesn't interfere.
