![]() | Drop too far?
Has anyone dropped too far? I feel like my boobs are sitting kind of low, compared to other pics I'm looking at.

I think mine are too low. I had a revision to raise my leftie a month ago, but it's too soon to know if it will hold. I looked at your pics.. your boobs were never high, and now they are lower. Are they still getting lower? Have you seen your PS about it? My PS said the implants were a bit big for me and so she had to disect more than she'd planned and that's why my leftie was lower, so she raised it. So it was b/c of her error that it was too low, and she fixed it for free and I didn't have to pay any anesthesiologist fees either. I am anxiously watching my rightie to see if it is dropping lower.

Mine were never high. I have thought from day one that mine settled too low. My left is lower than my right too. I am going to give it til the 3 month mark and talk about my options at that point if needed.

![]() | I just accepted your FR. From looking at your pics, it does seem like you are bottoming out. Do you have trouble with your nips popping out of bras? Have you talked to your PS about your concerns? By 6wks post-op I could tell mine were bottoming out but my PS wanted to wait at least 4 months before doing a pocket revision. I'm now 5 wks post-op from my revision and things are looking pretty good. They're still not as high as I wanted, but that's another thread...

Yes, my nipples are popping out of bras. It seems like most of my boob is below the nipple. I saw my PS a couple of weeks ago and he said he wasn't too concerned, although they are lower than he'd like to see. But I think they're too low. ![]() How much was your revision surgery? Do they just tighten it or do they redo the whole thing? |

I had to pay for the facility and anesthesia, about $2000 total. My PS just went back in and closed up the pockets with permanent sutures. I was satisfied with the size, so I kept the same implants. From everything I read about bottoming out, I would keep raising the issue with your PS. Your nips should be pretty close to centered on your breast mound, and yours clearly are not. You can see from my pics where mine were prior to my revision. They look similar to where your implants are now.

I have the same thing going on...my right side sits a lot lower than the left side. When I am sitting w/o a bra, it feels like the implant is on my ribcage. AND also, that nip always pops outta bras! Very annoying... my 6mo post-op is in a few weeks. Last time my PS told me to wear an underwire at all times and not massage as much on that side. ::sigh::

breast augmentation-Mish, I took a look at your pics. Your breasts look just lke my friends! In her situation, she has not had kids, so she had small perky boobs preBA so like you, she ended up with perky boobs post breast augmentation. Her PS (who is also mine) told her her creases weren't well defined, meaning they don't overhang like a natural breast. She actually bottomed out 6 months after her breast augmentation, had a revision and dropped low on her chest again. This time though, her nipples don't point up, it's like the weight of the implant actually stretched out her crease so it sits lower on her chest by about 2.5 inches. Her crease incision is still where it is supposed to be but she is unhappy cause she says she looks like she has old lady matronly boobs. Not sure if you have the same issue but she can't wear any of the shirts with the empire waist because it doesnt sit right, it ends up being in the middle of her boobs because they are so low on her chest. I feel like a mean person because everybody tells her they look great and I am the only one agreeing with her that her creases need to be higher. Now my situation is a bit different. I have always had small boobs, except when pregnant. I gained 60+ lbs in both my pregnancies and my boobs got huge. I had extra skin but both me and my surgeon didn't realize how much extra skin cause I can still pinch and my boobs were only high for a day then dropped. I feel like I don't look like I have brand new boobs and one of my creases is lower than the other making me look lop sided. I don't think it was this way before my surgery. I didn't get anywhere at my 1 month checkup I went in there wanting to ask what we could do to make my results better ( I went to the appt alone) and whatever the surgeon said made me feel better until I got in the car! I do not see him again until August but I plan on bringing someone with me to this appt and making sure that if I am still unhappy, it is addressed. I paid alot for this surgery and while I dont want to be unreasonable I feel I should be happy! Good luck with everything, I hope it all works out for you!!! |

My ps says wear a good, supportive underwire bra to help prevent bottoming out.

Thanks, ladies! I've been wearing underwire bras since Day 1 and have even been wearing them at night. I still like them but I'm terrified they'll drop lower--my scars are taking so long to heal and I really don't want to open them again (or pay another $2000). I'll definitely quiz my PS on what's going on when I see him next month. But for now, thanks for all your insight.

I feel the same way. Mine are not sitting up high at all and they dropped really quick. My PS said they are most likely completely dropped now. It gives me a very natural look and with the right bra I definitely get them pushed up and fake looking. Howevere there are days that I wish I had gone with high profile and got some more upper pole fullness. But there are also days where I love how natural they look and feel. In some ways I guess I got the best of both worlds. But you know how it is, the grass is always greener... Anyway hope that helps!
