I am 2 months post op today and part of my left boob is still numb - the right side by the cleavage. Did anyone experience this still after two months?! Also, I don't have that great sensitivity in my nipples that I used to have. They have feeling, but its just a sore one. Is this an "up to 6 months" thing to get the good stuff back? haha Thanks girls! |

I'm still numb for the most part and I'm about two and a half months out (may 15th 09) but my numb parts are on the outside of my boobs...bit sore occasionally too but oh well - all normal! |

I am over a year and a half post op and I am still numb on the underneath outside part of my left breast. I was hoping it would come back but it hasn't. Everyone is different hopefully yours will come back in time. Good Luck!

I'm almost 5 months post-op and am still numb on the outer and unders of my breasts (mostly the right one). There is a bit of cleavage numbness as well. My right nip was completely numb until a few weeks ago. Now I can feel sensation starting to come back. I can actually feel touch on my nip, but it's more irritating than pleasurable. It's kinda like when your leg goes numb and feeling just starts to come back. You can "sort of" feel touch, but not like normal. It's hard to describe, and it doesn't feel good, but it's a start!

![]() | I still had numbness at 2 months. To be honest, I didn't start getting any feeling back until about 3 1/2 months post op. Everyone is different but some ladies say it can easily take up to a year and a half or longer before feeling is restored. Hang in there and good luck!

I'm also 5 months post op and while the sensations have gradually been coming back, in the last month they've really picked up. My nipples now have full sensation back, but the underside of my breasts feel just as Ten96 described. It reminds me of when you touch your lips and cheeks after a trip to the dentist. ![]() I think that maybe where you regain sensation first, might have a little bit to do with your incision site. |

I'm about 10 weeks P/O and the underneath part of my breasts are still a little numb. My PS said it could take up to a full year to completely heal. Hopefully it won't take that long!!

I had my 3 month PO check up today and my PS asked me about numbness as well.. I have no feeling or sensation about and inch and a half out from my nipples, all the way around, both breasts.. He said that it could take up to two years for complete feeling to come back, or it may not come back at all... Its different for each woman.. So, you arent alone.. I want sensation back too!!

Even thought I'm numb..there is still hope to regain it back. However, I would never trade them in for what I had thats for sure. My self esteem is 100% higher than it used to be. Thank you boobs!
