How long till you guys think its safe for me to walk a dog?
I want to start volunteering at the Humane Society, so they would typically be medium sized dogs, and probably not the best behaved. I got silicone unders 3 weeks ago today, and I just don't want to risk hurting my new girls.

My PS told me no heavy lifting for 3 weeks. But you might want to call your PS. One thing I'm realizing from being on here is that every PS is different.

I would wait about six weeks. I tried to walk my large dog on week two and on the walk she did a slight turn and i felt the pull.

I decided the walk can wait.

I was walking my dogs (gently) by day 4 and my PS was fine with that. I must have a more liberal surgeon b/c I'm 3 weeks out and already have clearance to go back to the gym!

I was able to walk my big 70 pound puppy at one week post-op

Lol but this is only because I have one of those halti/gentle leader leashes. They are amazing! Before I got one I could not control my dog at all. She even pulled me down a hill onto a road once.

I would ask my PS, I would hate for anything to happen while I am waiting on the end results..........
