Hi everyone! I am so glad it is over with, you all have been wonderful in helping me deal with everyhing so well. Started off really sore and in pain, but now I am due for another painkiller and i don't feel bad. The dr said my chest muscle was really tight so it might be more uncomfortable. I was wondering though, has anyone not seen their doctor until a week after? I am so jealous of those who get to go in within a couple days, remove dressings and shower! My doctor doesn't see me until Thursday morning, I thought it sounds different. I'm hoping tomorrow will be more comfortable bc today I can't move anything without pulling and hurting.

First of all Congrats! Wishing you a Speedy & Uncomplicated Recovery! ![]() My PS had me come in on Day 3 and again on Day 10. I could shower after Day 3, just had strips over my sutures. Keep us posted on your progress! |

Sexy Taurus, I see you're two days out. Is it better or worse on day 2? If I sit still I am not too uncomfortable, just trying to reposition myself or get up is a very tight.

Congratulations on your boobies! I didn't see my PS for a week but I could take a shower the next day. It felt really good. Some ladies have had great suggestions for staying "fresh" when you can't shower though |

Welcome to Boobieville! I had my surgery on Tuesday, and won't be seeing my doc until Monday - so yeah, a week until I can shower. In the meantime, I can tub or sponge bathe, but I can't get the dressings wet. Baby wipes have been helpful in staying fresh. |

Congratulations...I live close 3 hrs. (one way) from my Doctors office, located just outside of Seattle. Going back the next day was strictly out of the question. I stayed in a hotel the nite of the procedure, just in case there were complications, then went home the following a.m. (my daughter stayed with) Needless to say, i saw him the following week, and after wards, he said to come back in 4 weeks. I am currently out of leave (work for Military) so won't be seeing him again till December 21 ~ my surgery was on October 22. He said that i was healing fine, they (the implants) looked to be healing within normal limits, and to just push them down 4x per day. I was able to remove the bandages after 24 hr. and shower...i didn't. I showered like on the 3rd day...i know, eh, gross...but i did not want to go through the effort. I felt very loopy with my meds, and sore, AND huge that i just wanted to do nothing more than sleep. Flash forward exactly 2 weeks on Thursday, this being Saturday a.m. and i shower when i want, just returned to work on Monday, sore...but by Tuesday, pretty much back to normal. I stopped sleeping sitting up after day 6 as i was pretty much DONE with sleeping uncomfortably and with waking up with a sore back...OH HELL NO! I slept on my side that nite, after returning from Seattle from my 1 week post op. And i continue and it is amazing sleep! Heal... |

It will be 10 days post-op before I see my PS. Not uncommon here at all. He phoned me the day afterward to check in and again yesterday (1 week post op). I haven't experienced any complications (e.g. unusual soreness or any signs of infection). If so, I would have seen him way sooner than 10 days post-op. I couldn't bathe or shower for 1-2 days post-op but after that, showers (with my back to the spray) were fine. Still not able to bathe. Welcome to Boobieville! | |

Thank you for your positive comments and experiences. It just seemed like most people go back within three days or so. The thought of keeping this bra and bandages on for a week sounds so gross! I guess its using the handheld shower head in the meantime.
