When does the tightness go away?!?!?

I'm only 2 days post op, so i know there is still a lot of work to do. So far i haven't had any pain at all. I stopped taking pain meds just this morning and switched to tylenol and i've been fine. However, my chest feels so tight. Like it's almost difficult to breathe. Does this go away?

I put up some progress pics and i am so so so so so happy with the results so far.

That's great you're not feeling any pain. It took me about a month or two for the tightness to go away.. but I have a feeling you'll be recover a lot sooner since it already sounds like you are doign well!

Oh gosh, I think I posted the exact same question when I was 2-3 days post op. My chest is still feeling kind of tight, but its MUCH, MUCH better. I am 17 days post op now.

Congrats and wishing you a speedy recovery.

It's going to take a little while for the tightness to subside.. If you had little or no breast tissue, your skin has to stretch to accomodate the implant... It won't take forever.. For me it was about 3-4 weeks... Then I could move the implant around more and it felt more natural.. You're only a few days PO but you'll see subtle changes over time... HTH!

Yeah...I know what you're going through. I'm a week post-op and this tightness feeling really sucks. Because I had next to no pain though I feel like I shouldn't complain. It's just so uncomfortable!!!

Good luck to you!

The tightness is just so annoying. I haven't been in any pain and i stopped taking the pain meds after 1 day. I have started to notice little changes though. They are still hard as rocks but i can feel them softening up a very little bit. I just can't wait for them to drop and feel more natural.

All depends on your body and the size of implants you got... the tightness went way for me around days 4-5... good luck!

I am 10 days post op and my tightness has gone down a lot. I also stopped taking my pain meds early... the Vicodin made me so sick so I stopped taking them the night of surgery and stopped taking Tylenol 3 days ago. They still feel a little tight but nothing like they did at first. HTH

The tightness started going away for me around 2 weeks post op. I know everyone heals differently though. I hope it goes away for you soon. Happy healing.

I'm 13 days post op, and I still feel tight. But only on my right side. I can stand there with no bra on and feel nothing in my left side, but on my right it still feels like there's "something" there. I don't know how to explain it quite right. They are still high though and have not dropped, which I didn't expect yet anyway. I know it takes weeks, even months for them to D&F.
