Hey i'm sure you can wait. Every ps has their own way of doing things and i was give instructions to keep my arms at my sides for 3 weeks and then start massaging. If its causing you too much pain I would say try light massaging until it stops hurting.

hey there! My PS instructed me to wait until I wasnt in pain anymore to begin massaging. Im sure you can wait, especially since you are still in pain. hope you feel better soon.

I didn't start massaging until 2 weeks PO. It was still a little painful at first but it got easier and less painful everyday.

My PS usually doesn't have his patients start massaging until 1 week post op. But when i went for my day after post op he said i could start since i could already lift my arms over my head and wasn't in any pain. He just has me pushing them up for 10 seconds 6-8X/day. I like doing it in the shower because it seems to feel less tight. A lot of my friends didnt' start massaging until 2 weeks and some even further out. I would ask your PS. He will know best.

Horizon41 will become famous soon enough
I started massage at one week post yes its painful but you have to remember you are doing this for a reason to help keep the pockets open and to prevent scar tissue from forming . I got cc in week 4 and I look back and wonder if it was because I was not massaging as much as instructed. The more you massage the less the pain will be. HUGS
