Vitamin E

I remember reading online here somewhere that vitamin E helps soften the muscle or tissue?????? Could someone tell me what it is good for and how much should I take? My muscles are still so tight my girls just dont want to drop. So I am trying anything to help them drop before my redo on dec.28th. I am 50days out and nothing. I massage, lay on the floor on girls and were the strap as tight as I can. Help!!!!!!

i cant help you with Vit E but you might want to ask your PS about MSM.. my PS has me on 2000 mg a day of it to help soften and help me drop..

My PS has told me no vitamin E orally before or after surgery - topically it's ok. I would check to see what your doc says!

My PS had me start taking vit. E orally 1000 I.U. daily one week AFTER my breast augmentation. He told me to take it for 6 months. I'm taking it as instructed and doing just fine.

I was put on Vit E 400 mg once a day for a full yr by my ps he said it helps with scar tissue, and I was increased to 800 a day while I was fighting cc.

I was instructed to start at 3 weeks post op 800-1000 IU of Vitamin E daily.

As far along post op as you are, vitamin E can only benefit you. The risk of bleeding is only if you take it 2 weeks before surgery or immediately after.

I would say most women are instructed to take it. It helps tremendously! I should have suggested it sooner to you, my bad! Do you sleep on your tummy?

My PS said I could take it if I wanted to but there are no studies to prove that it helps. However, many surgeons really feel it does help. My PS said 800 IU if I want. I figure, it can't hurt so I'm popping those babies every day, one 400 IU in the morning and one at night.

my ps has me taking 800 ui a day of vit e for at least 6 months postop. Ive heard that it helps soften the tissue to help prevent cc. I dont know if this is true but im definitely softening up. I also massage vit e oil which is helping with my scars alot. hth

My ps said to take vit E as well, but he never said why or how much. I am takeing one in the morning and one at night. I also used it on my scars as well, I think it has helped a lot.

My plastic surgeon had me start taking vit. E orally 1000 I.U. daily three weeks after my breast augmentation. He told me to take it for 6 months. I wonder if you can take to much vit.E?

I take 800 I.U. of Vitamin E a day. I wasn't instructed to do so after surgery, just read numerous posts on here before about how some PS's reccomend it post B.A. I asked my PS if I could take it (800 I.U. daily) about a month P.O. and he said I could. Since I've been taking it I've softened up alot. I really recommend taking it, but ask your PS first. I don't see any harm in taking it, only see benefits

This is what I need to know too! I bought oral vitamin E and the vitamin E oil. I'm ready to get this party started, but decided to surf JBI first. Now I'm not sure if it's too early
