Fell today!!!

Hi ladies! I was at work today and was going down the carpeted stairs and my heel grabbed the carpet the wrong way. I basically tripped down a couple of stairs and without thinking reached out with my left arm to break my fall and grab onto the railing. I knew it was a mistake as soon as I did it because I had major pain in my cleavage area towards the left boob. It's been sore all day and I'm icing now. I'm 5 weeks out tomorrow--do u think I did any damage?? Has something like this happened to anyone else? Thanks girls!!

OMG, how scary! I think since you're so far out, you'll be fine, but I'd call the PS, just to make sure! Hope you feel better soon!

I am not an expert and dont have any experience on this, If i was in your shoes, I would call my PS and do what your doing, I would also think your going to tell if things are really bad, hopefully in the morning you will be feeling fine. Good Luck !

im only 3 weeks out and basically did the same thing about 4 days ago IT HURT OMG SOOOOOOOO BAD FOR 2 DAYS THE 3RD DAY FELT BETTER and now today feels pretty good after I did it I did put my compression bra back on and that helped them feel all safe and secure or maybe it was just in my head...
I also put ARNICA (natural herb pretty common) all over my boob and arm pit area where it hurt
Good luck

I know that it was scary, but you're more than likely alright. I did the same thing when I was a few days post-op. I remember that I started crying, because it hurt so bad and because I thought that I had ruined my girls! I called my PS and told him what had happened and he said that everything was O.K. Even though you're probably alright, I would still call your PS just to let them know what happened. Good luck and I hope that you start to feel better soon!

I fell going up the stairs at 5 weeks post op and i broke my fall with my left arm.... after that my left breast became a bit firmer i call my PS he said i should be fine. I am now almost 4 most post op and doing great. As long as you don't have any extreme swelling i would say you'll be just fine.

Thanks for all the advice ladies!! I do feel better today, although still a little tender. Luckily no bruising or anything. I"m going to give it until Monday and call the PS if it still hurts. I do appreciate all your advice and glad I'm not the only one out there. I felt so clumsy!

Glad to hear you're doing better and didn't bruise! Get this, 2 nights p/o DH and I were sleeping and his phone rang out of nowhere at nearly 2 a.m. (his dumb friend) and it scared him and he jumped up and threw his arm over and hit my chest. I started screaming!!! It hurt so bad. I was okay. Then a few weeks post op I had mopped the kitchen floor and I thought it was dry and I slipped and hit my rightie on a bar stool. Yep, it hurt so bad, too but once again I was okay~ I didn't bruise either but IKWYM about being tender...
