![]() | days of help
Hi, I'm getting ready for my breast augmentation and am wondering how many days do I really need someone to stay with me? I'm divorced and live alone with my kids. I want to set up some friends to come stay a couple of days. But how many days do I really need help? Recommendations please. Thanks!

I would say like 2-3 days. Unless you have everything at arms reach! Its nice to have the help though so I would recommend like 3 days. That way they can help you wash your hair and cook! Good luck!

How old are your kids? I have 3 3 and under...ummm I wish I still had help! I'm 6 days out...so...I would say a week. I'm not sure if the hematoma I had was from doing too much with the kids or not...but I had my mom stay as long as she could(2 nights) and my hubby is deployed so....Really if you have the help and they wouldn't mind....LET THEM HELP! Best wishes!

Depends on how old your kids are, to be honest. The first 3 days are the worst. After that, they start to get better each day. However, you still won't have a lot of energy (usually), and your surgeon will probably tell you that you can't lift anything over 5lbs for 2 weeks (mine did, and I know several other girls were told something similar). To be on the safe side, I'd say have someone there for a week. You don't want to push yourself and end up with complications.

The first 4 days were by far the worst for me but I was really pretty worthless to help myself, let alone some kids, for about a week. Take all the help you can get. You don't want to have complications because you did too much too soon! After my 1 week post-op appointment my PS still cautioned me and said very very light activity for another week!
