Question Do nipples stay hard??

I haven't had my BA yet but I have heard that your nipples stay hard after surgery.

So girls is this true and how was your experience with this?

My nipples didn't stay hard after surgery, but a few weeks out they became hypersensitive and got hard very easily. It's different for everyone.

I assume this would be with areolar incisions or not?...

My areola/nipples don't stay contracted but can and do when they wish.

Do Petals help with this hypersensitivity in clothing or are the petals themselves uncomfortable as well?!

Mine were super sensitive and stayed hard for a while. I was so afraid that I would nipping thru everything. At some point, maybe like the 2 month mark, they started acting normal again. I was so happy! To deal with it during those first couple of months I wore shirts that would cover the constant nipping and bought bras that helped with that too.

It's been less than two months since I got my girls, but I've had my high beams on the ENTIRE time. I just use the adhesive petals/covers under my bras and bathing suits. I haven't gone in the water with them on yet; I'd be mortified if they fell off in the pool or something. The hypersensitivity has gone down a little bit, or maybe I'm just getting used to it. Definitely not complaining though, I'd rather have a lifetime of hard nipples than my preBA boobs.

Yes the nipple thing..oh my gosh mine were constantly standing to attention, even when I wasnt cold. Before my BA I never had this problem,so I went out and bought some of those daisy petals recently but I think its been a waste of money as I can now safely say my nipples have calmed down and dont get so erect now,I think its because my breasts have relaxed that bit more..I think they have done dropping completely and just need to soften abit more.At 2 months post op in the last 3 or 4 days my breasts have also shrunk a tiny bit more so they are still I think "Fluffing",not that I am disapointed they are defintley the ideal size and look so natural.

I think your nipples will calm down soon enough, and at 2 months post op I am sooo glad mine don't look like they are going to poke some poor souls eyes out..lol!

Hard nipples

Mine were hard 24/7 for a week or two post op. But they went back to normal after that. I'm 5 weeks ou now and they look like they always have except maybe a tad puffier like when I was a teen and b4 I breastfed. I had aerolar incisions and honestly there is no scar whatsoever and I haven't used anything on them either. Just massaged the nipples
in the shower every day like my PS said to.

so if your nipples stay hard in the beginning, and you can't wear a bra in the beginning... does it become really obvious when you go out? I'm going back to class a week after my surgery, and it's going to be a little uncomfortable if all my classmates see my nipples through my shirt.lol.

i had to go to school a week after mine also and i had this problem. i live in indiana and its freezing cold here so i could get away with wearing a t shirt with a hoodie over it, but i have also been able to hide them by wearing the tank tops with the bra built in it under whatever you are wearing... that second layer hides them.

No they are the same as they were before my BA. I had crease incisions if that makes a difference and will have the same incisions with my BA revision in 3 weeks.

My nipples were hard for over a month!!!! And although they are not rock hard now, they are really obvious when I don't have a bra on or when I wear my workout clothes.
