How many follow up visits?

How many follow up visits have you ladies had? My PS has had me back 2x/ week for the first 2 weeks and once a week since. If it is needed I don't mind, but it seems a little excessive to me. He is an hour away and never running on schedule so it is 3 hours out of the day. I work FT and have 3 kids under 7- it is not easy to do this. I think if he says see you in a week at the next visit I'm gonna ask if we can skip it. All he does is look, squeeze (LOL) and say "Looks good". Three hours for a 2 minute visit is getting on my nerves!

That does seem excessive!

My PS had me back 4 days Post-op. I had surgery on Thursday and went in on Monday.

That's it until my 6 week appt. on March 1st.

Wow that does sound like a lot. My PS is also 1hr drive and the visit only lasts a few minutes. I was seen the next day, 1 week po, 3 weeks po, and my next one is supposed to be around the 3 month mark. If everything is going well I would defineately ask your PS about spacing out the post op appts.

That sure is a lot!!!! I went the following day after breast augmentation and then at 2 1/2 weeks now my schedule is 3, 6, 9 & 12 months then yearly....Good luck to you...

That's a lot!!! I went in at 4 days post-op, 2 weeks, 6 weeks and then like 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.

Hi there. Mine has been the same, twice a week. I don't live far though, and don't work outside the home so the only issue w/ me is getting a sitter for my young child. I actually appreciate the close visits, for me, it makes me feel like he really cares and wants to keep a close eye on something that might seem a little pink or swollen. I will say, that this week, 2.5 weeks post op, he asked to have me back in 7-10 days. So it will get more spaced out. I'm also having issues though....
Hang in there, be happy you have a PS that seems to really care and want to stay on top of anything, if it arises.

I'd feel scared if my PS told me he'd see me in 3 mos. ...BUT I'm a worrier.

I went to a 5 day po, then I went 2 weeks later, and then I have another 2 weeks after that. So three total so far and I am almost 1 mo po.

Mine was at 1 week post op then 1 month post op then it will be at 3 mos. post op I'm not sure after that.

I had my surgery on Tuesday, went back on Wednesday to get the ace bandages off, went back today to get the drains out, and will be going back on Tuesday morning as well.

I went at one week post op and my next was is next friday (like 5 weeks post op) I don't know if there will be anymore or not.

same here, i was staying overnight in the hospital and next day a visit from my ps and he took the drains out, and i could go home, loads of pain for 4 days.. im now 3 weeks post op and had so far 5 appointments, my next one is after tomorrow, he does nothing as well.. squeezing, looking, nothing else.. but it makes me feel he really cares, there are plastic surgeons which do your op, get your money and for them the job is finished, but the post op is as important as the operation.. i think

Ooh, I was wondering how that works? Do you send pictures, or do they have some sort of live video chat? I'm originally from the Philippines, and I'm considering doing it there because 1, it's cheaper, 2, the doc i'm going to is the best in the country, all for the same implants, size, etc. It's just, I'm wondering how post ops would work, being all the way in Oregon.

I had an appointment 4 days post op and 12 days post op to get stitches out. My next appointment is set for 6 weeks post op.

My doctor does the day after surgery at 2weeks 1,3,6,9,12 months and any in between if i have questions or concerns.

I went the day after surgery, then at two weeks...and have another one scheduled for 4 weeks. Not sure what comes after that.

I was once a week for 5 weeks, then 4 weeks later...we'll see what's next.

I am also about an hour away, FT job, etc, but this IS better than a PS that doesn't care about you afterwards!

I went back 1 day post op, then 1 week later then 2 weeks post op (stitches removed) then i go back at the 6 week mark and 12 week mark.

I was seen the next day! To be honest I lost count! I had to go a lot and its a 2 hour drive away. But I also had a mini TT so thats probably why I had to go so much.
