Boobs far apart??? Please say its normal!! :)

Well ladies.. I just barely found this forum tonight and can already tell I am going to be hooked!! I know this may be a difficult question to ask because I don't have any pictures on here (yet!) but I am concerned about my boobs!

I got Silicone textured HP implants done on 12/23/09 and my doctor did mention to me that my natural breasts are farther apart than most peoples (when standing, I can place 4 fingers between them) but his nurse showed me a picture of a girl with similar boobs and hers gradually went closer together after a few months. Have any of you been in my situation? I am just wondering if he is feeding me full of krap or if that really happens. I guess I just don't see how they could magically go together? I can't even push them together to get cleavage. (still about 1 finger apart)

I am REALLY hoping they will go together. He said that he couldn't place the implants closer because he didn't want me to end up with uni-boob which would have sucked but I really want to be able to have cleavage!!!

Any advice would be AWESOME!!!

Hey there! Well im pretty new too and havent had my surgery yet so im probably not much help but my PS said that after having augmentation your boobs are actually much the same just bigger and that he can place the implants a little closer together but there will still be a gap. He also said that the only way to get actual cleavage was to wear a bra to push them together. From what i have read you are still pretty early out. Im sure the girls will tell you to chill!

I was told the same thing when I got my implants, that your breast will still be the same as they were just bigger. So any gap you have you will have after your augmentation.

My doctor said the same thing...implants don't move your breast....just make it larger in the same place. As they drop and settle, you should be able to push them closer easier. I am 3 weeks out and just recently have been able to get them to push close together...at first they wouldn't even move.

Yes i have a small gap but its been almost 2 months and its nothing a good push up bra couldnt save you just have to wear flattering swim suits, try the victorias secret line and stay away from halters for lack of cleavage

everyone's right....it just makes the breasts you have larger. The docs tend to center the implant around the nipple, too. My first breast augmentation left me with a really wide gap, but my recent breast augmentation 12 days ago closed the gap a bit (just had to go from a B to C or D). I have seen many post op pics of women with gaps, and they look amazing.

if you had that gap pre-breast augmentation you would have the same post breast augmentation
mine was 2 fingers now its one..
but I have mod+
just invest in good cleavage bra's

sadly i have to agree with everyone, i have a 2 inch gap, but had it before chest shape had alot to play into things also.. but everyone here says they look great.. once i went back and saw my pre op pics i knew its just my body and its all good... bigger makes it a bit noticeable, but bra's bra's bra's !!!!

I would say that my gap is about 2 inches before they start "inclining" (hah!) gosh, I just hope once they drop they will be able to get cleavage. Thanks ladies for all of your input. The thing is is that before I got my breast augmentation, I was able to push them together and get cleavage in a swimsuit. **Will I be able to do that eventually do you think?** Right now they are still pretty hard and stuck in one spot. I wish I would of asked these questions to my Dr.
