Question Sore ribs?

Did any one else experience sore ribs after surgery? I have since day 2 and am on day 14. While the pain in my breast has for the most part gone away, my ribs are still very sore.

My ribs were sore for weeks afterwards, especially on the left side... I thought it would never go away and then... suddenly I no longer noticed it.

Hang on in there, you will feel better soon

I forgot to ask my surgeon why it happens. I read responses on jbi to say it was normal so just waited until it felt better. It did seem to go on a long time on the left side though.

I thought perhaps my surgeon was leaning on my ribs while operating... hah! he is short and round and lovely and cuddly but that's a whole lot of surgeon leaning on me... lol no wonder my ribs ached!

Mine hurt! I'm sure having TUBA didn't help either but, just wanted to chime in and let you know "you're not alone", lol!

I had lots of rib pain too - but it does go away on its own. Congratulations and glad to hear, other than the rib pain, that all else is going well! Enjoy your new girls!

Hmmmm it is weird.......

I have rib pain right beneath each incision. I wouldnt consider it painful, but it is a little bothersome.
I had been wondering why I had the pain, So Im glad to know its common.

I just had my surgery today. And yes.... I have rib pain under my incisions too! I though my doc might have done something weird... but apparently... it is normal. Huh... go figure.

OMG mine were soooo sore!! They felt bruised and it actually seemed to get worse. It took forever to go away; maybe from being skinny, I'm not sure but it sucked =[ It did go away though.

Mine were sore for the first week, I would get winded just walking around the block, it's as if my ribs couldn't support my upper body and i would have to sit down...couldn't stand straight the first few days as well...but it is now all gone, just listen to your body and rest as often as needed, I'm sure working in a restaurant didn't help since you're on your feet all day, but with healing it should be gone fast!
