Bra after breast lift

In a couple weeks my surgeon said I will be able to wear a bra. But I forgot to ask him if it matters if the bra has an underwire or not. What kind of bra did you buy after your breast lift? BTW I had a full anchor lift.

My PS gave me a bra at my post op visit and said I could start wearing it when my sutures came out. I found that it was pretty uncomfortable at first, mainly because of where the incisions were and how it rubbed on the bra. The bra that the office had given me was an underwire, but I never ended up using it. I used two of those post op bras (doubled up for more support) when I was at home because they were the most comfy, and when I was at work I wore my old underwires from before I had surgery. I purchased new bras at about 6 weeks post op, and they are all underwire. I paid a lot to get these girls lifted and perky, I want all the support I can get! Speaking of which, I sleep in a sports bra to keep the girls all snug at night. Good luck with everything!

By 4 weeks I was bra shopping after anchor lift and BA. It was way too early because I had not D&F'd yet. PS said wear what feels right until you are healed. I wore my zip front bras mostly but had no problems when I gradually started wearing any of the underwire bras I bought.

By 8 weeks I could only wear two of the 8 I had purchased. OOPS.

Alright good to know about the underwire bras. SO why could you only wear 2 of the 8 bras you bought?

I went home with the horrible sports surgical bra for mine and at week 2 1/2 bought a wireless pushup----and its getting small--probably why I bought only one (TG), but I wear a lot of banded laceup, zip up, and fasten up front sports bras.

I can wear underwire bras with no prob.. a few are pushup.. but the girls don't move much right now.. lol!!
Mostly I love my coobie bras or my tanks with the shelf... I did have the full anchor lift with augmentation... my scars barely bother me with a bra... but the garment that I am wearing from the full tummy tuck rubs the wires... ugh!!
