Anyone had stitches removed from lift?

Hey,
Just wondering if anyone has had their stitches from their lift actually removed? I thought they would just dissolve, but my PS said he has to remove them himself!! Is this going to hurt?
Thanks,
Chrissy, TX.

I had a lift, and my stitches are suppose to dissolve. All of my stitches are under skin, even around areola, I cant see any of them.. It looks like he just stuck them back on! Its amazing how they can stitch under the skin where u cant even see them... Hopefully it will not leave very much of a scar(s)!!! But I bet the removal of ur stitches will not hurt. My son has had stithes twice, and he says they dont hurt when u take them out, my husband took his first ones out!!!!

It shouldn't hurt. Most stitches just pull right out. My PS used dissolvable stitches. They are all different though, in their techniques.

I had stitches removed from my areola after a benelli lift. It felt like a pulling sensation and hurt just a little. I wanted to see my nipple so bad without the tape and stitches that I didnt even care. lol

I had mine removed as well. I honestly didnt feel it. There was one little part where a scab had kind of gathered there....so it pulled a little. Didnt hurt, just a little pull...but other than that, it was nothing. I WAS SOOOO SCARED!!!!! Now I laugh at myself....But I was shaking and everything....the nurse thought I was so funny! LOL

Wink stitches

There was a liitle tugging feeling for me but no pain. Just relax and breathe. Getting them out is such a relief. I LOVE my boobs! They turned out spectacular. 6 months now! I love them! Youll be great!

Peace, Charise

I have internal dissolvable stitches but also had stitches around my areola's and the vertical incision. I was very nervous about having them removed so I took a valium before the appt, LOL but it wasn't really bad, a little pinch here and there; not nearly as bad as I thought it would be! I wouldn't recommend watching though!

Nope, it won't hurt. At most you may feel a little pinch but if you are like me you still have some numbness which is a good thing when it comes to stuff like stitches coming out! I think it's more mental than anything because I don't think it hurts regardless! Good luck!!

Unhappy Not to worry you but

mine hurt like crap coming out! I am a huge chicken but in my defense I had 3 babies all natural so I know I can tolerate pain. Everyone is different and each dr. is different in their aproch to removing them though. I had a lollypop lift and areola reduction along with BA so I had a lot of scabs that the stitches pulled and I was even removing stitches at home a few days later I also had to go back 10 days later to have the last of the stitches removed because he didnt want to take them the first time I was there due to not feeling like I was healed enough in spots with the lift that was done. My dr. was very strict though about many things and I TRUSTED him completly! cant say enough good things about him! He is wonderful so yep it may hurt but YOU will be ok if I can do it anyone can!!! Take some pain meds if you have to before you go in! Good luck and enjoy the new girls

I just had a regular BA (no lift), but I had stitches removed. It stung/burned a little, but nothing unbearable. I should have taken some vicodin or something prior, then it would have been nothing.
