I'm wondering...did he offer you any kind of discount if you did them separately. Based on what you have said and what everyone else is saying, it sounds like your PS is a perfectionist. Some aren't. This may be a good thing. It may mean that even if you decide to do it in one surgery, you'll get optimal results. But, clearly, this is my opinion. I don't have enough experience to provide a fully informed one.

I was suppose to get a lift...
and after my latest doc who said I didn't need one (nipples still above the crease line and in the right position) I am now not getting one...the other docs were going to do the lift and augmentation at the same time... personally...if it was me...I would be finding a doc who would do it at the same time... |

I had implants and a vertical lift done at the same time on April 11th here in Fort Worth. My doc suggested that I do them together. I actually didn't know that I'd have to have a lift when I originally went in for my consultation. I have two small children (one actually still in the crib) as well so going through the whole surgery ordeal twice wasn't something that I wanted to do. Luckily my doctor supported that view.
I had my surgery on a Friday so I had the whole weekend to rest. Luckily my folks took the kids and then helped me with them the following week since you're not suppose to be lifting anything. My surgery and recovery went great and I wasn't really in any pain. I was even off the pain killers/muscle relaxers within a couple of days. The only "major" side effect I had was that I was very groggy and I have very few memories of those first few days afterwards. There was no way that I could've driven in that state (for the first week) much less take care of my kiddos. Thank goodness for grandparents!! But now it's been over two weeks and I feel 100% again. I have a little soreness here and there. I'm able to do things around the house and as long as I'm extrememly careful I can lift my daughter (be careful because if you're not that's a whole different kind of pain). But the surgery itself is over and for the most part it's been really great. I'm glad that I had both procedures done at the same time. I was worried about how painful it was going to be and how long the recovery period would actually take, but it looks like it wasn't as bad as I feared. How many consultations did you have? Did they all feel the same way? |
