borderline for lift
I was pre op a 32-34b. I did not have a lift, my ps said it was up to me. I hope i made the right choice because 3 months out i still have a slight sag off of my implant. If i stand with my shoulder straight they are fine. Also when i bend over they are not round, the implant is tight under the muscle,so my breast tissue sag off. Has anyone not opted for the lift and had my problems and they resolve with time???

My lefty was larger before, and saggy.
I consulted four PSs. Two said I would definitely need a lift. The other two said I definitely didn't need a lift because my collarbone to nipple distance was within normal limits, and the implant dropping would lift the breast up. I went with one of the non-lift PSs. Eight weeks out, it's probably too early to give up, but the implant still shows a bit of a bump above my breast, and the nip still points down. My PS acknowledged at my 4-week post op it might need a crescent lift. I'm still glad I was conservative -- the crescent lift is a separate surgery anyway, and I like the idea of waiting to see whether it's needed. Also once my implants have dropped he'll know exactly how much to lift it, he won't have to guess. My PS also said it was safer for the breasts to do the BA and lift separately -- I am skeptical of that -- don't know whether he was just justifying himself or whether that's true. Hopefully a crescent lift can be done under local anesthesia? If I get a lift, I'll have it done when I get my face lift in January. |

I'm in a similar situation as I am reading some of the posts on being borderline lift or no lift. I will not do a full blown lift because truly I am not entirely unhappy with my breasts now...just want them fuller after nursing two boys for 10 months each! My BA said he would do just the crescent lift. Is there anyone that has just had the crescent lift and not the full blown lift? How bad is the scarring and what is the healing time? Nicolette |

a few questions for Denese
Quote:
I had my BA by Dr. DeWire over 2 years ago and my nipples are lower than what I would like too. Are you getting larger implants along with your crescent lift? Will he do both with the areolar incision? Did you have transax the first time? Also if you don't mind, what is he charging to do the redo? I was thinking around the original price plus $2000 for the lift? Is that close? www.justbreastimplants.com/DeWire/ |

At my consult I was told I was borderline and that I would regret it if I did not get it because they would not be as perky as I would like.

same situation
I went through the same...some pa's said for sure the full lift, others said no way, wait! I decided to wait and see if I need it later. It can always be done if needed and that made sense to me when the pa's put it that way. I am getting overs which is supposed to help lift a little more than unders (so said the ps). My surgery is the day after tomorrow so only time will tell. I will get back to you.

I did end up getting a crescent and larger implants, but the implants were placed via the crease incision.....and, yes, I had transax the first time. I"m sure his office staff could give you an idea of the price...or you could email him. Good luck! |
