Perilift question
I am having a perilift done with my BA. I was wondering if this will affect my recovery.
Will I have additional scaring from this? |

WHat exactly is a perilift? I had a full and at the same time as my BA and aof course, I have the full anchor scarring. But I have to say, my scarring has started fading already so I am really happy with that!

Not sure what you mean. Like a dounut or benelli lift? (they cut a small bit in the shape of a dounut)
I had a small lift because I wanted my areolas smaller and so he did that and kind of placed them a bit higher. It's a circular scar all the way around. On my breast that isn't a problem even only just a month afterwards it looks really good, you need good lighting to know anything was done at all. The other boob however had the lovely rare experience of two damn hematomas in it. Totally unrelated to anything but my own bad luck. It's a little scary looking to start with and areola incisions do hurt but it's not unbearable or anything. ![]() HTH

I believe you are referring to the periareolar lift, otherwise known as the benelli lift. I had a benelli lift and I have a scar all the way around my areaola. The PS removes a small section of skin and/or tissue around your areola (the areola/nipple is not removed during this process) and then they place a purse-string stitch all the way around and cinch it up, creating a lift. I was restricted in my activity level and pushing/pulling/lifting for about 2 weeks longer than I would have been with just a BA. I don't know if the recovery was harder, as I've only had experiece with an BA/BL. I did have a pain pump and I highly recommend it. It was wonderful!

I just wanted to add that I, too, had an anchor lift with my BA and my scarring is fading really quickly. Hopefully you will find the same with yours. Good luck!
