Hello all. I just had my consultation on October 31st and my surgeon suggested a lollipop lift with an adjustable saline expander. I wanted to go with a normal silicone style implant but my surgeon feels that it would be too much strain on my breast tissue to try to squeeze such a large implant in at the same time that a lift is performed. Here is a little background info on me to make it easier: I am 24 years old six foot tall and weigh about 150lbs. I am currently a sagging 36D( due to weight loss YEA!!) and would like to be a 36F or FF post op. I originally was planning to do the lift and aug at the same time but now am having second thoughts. I want the lift to be as successful as possible so my surgeon is proposing that he do the lift and while doing the lift also implant a Mcghan expander type implant such as those used in reconstruction. This way he feels that I can be given the time to properly heal and then additional saline can be added to the expander on a weekly or bi weekly basis until my desired results are achieved. SOO I guess what I am asking is: Has anyone else ever had this suggested to them and if so what was the result? Also I have a few reservations about the expander. Is it just like a regular implant? I know that it has a different kind of filling port that is accessible just under the skin to make adjustments, but what are the other differences if any? Are the capable of being a permanent implant or will I have to have them removed in a short amount of time and replaced with a real implant? ANY help or advice is welcome and appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

What size implant are you getting? I had a lift and implants at the same time. I started out as a saggy but full C and ended up with a 36DD with 450cc. But I had hp saline unders.
If you are already a D with extra skin (which was my case) why can't he put in an implant that would make you an F? I wish I could help you with the expander question, but I don't know anything about them. . .I have seen a couple of girls post about them did you try a search? HTH

Thank you for the help. He didn't discuss implant sizes with me due to the fact that he wanted to do the expanders. I think that I am going to go have another consult and get a second opinion.
