Concerned about Anchor Lift scars?

I just thought I would write a few lines in the hope of reassuring anyone who is considering an anchor lift and is concerned about scarring. I had my surgery 6 days ago (with 450cc implants) and have today been in for my 2nd post op, during which I had my steri strips removed revealing the scars. And....I can honestly say that I am delighted with the results- the scars are no where near as bad as I had expected. Just thin red lines which Im sure will begin to fade out in no time. Before my surgery I was really worried that the scarring from a full lift would be ugly and that it would take the emphasis away from the shape/size etc. but with HUGE relief, I have found that this has not been the case at all. In fact, the whole experience has been much less traumatic than I thought it would be. By keeping on top of my meds my recovery so far has been great- just a little weakness and tiredness but no pain or problems (touch wood) although obviously I am being careful not to over do it. My boobs are now amazing (expecting a full D) and I truly wish that I had had the nerve to do this years ago! Well, I just thought I would share a little of my experience and hopefully anyone considering this procedure will be encouraged to go ahead. The results are fabulous and I can not thank or recommend my PS enough...Dr David Kim in Beverly Hills

Gotta agree - I was soo scared about puckering and scars around my aerola - but nah!!! Im 8 wks (I think) and barely noticeable white lines around!! Sooooo happy!!!! In fact they look lovely and natural. Only had benelli but its so fab to have boobies that sit where they should, not down by my thighs!! lol!!!

I'm getting a lift with my BA and was just beginning to wonder about the scarring. It's nice to be able to come here, search for a thread, and find the answers to ease my mind. Thank you.

Hi there,
I just had my BL and BA on Friday 5/30. I see my PS on Wed. but I look really swollen and the bandages are bloody and look bad. I am very scared to see what everything looks like. My situation is very different because I previously had 800cc implants and decided to haver them taken out and go smaller. Right now I am freaking out because I know they are so distorted and swollen and they look soooooo much smaller. I hope on Wed. when he takes the bandages off I am as pleased as you are.

I really really hope i can help you.

I had a full anchor lift and BA on may 1. I couldnt see anything because i was taped to the fullest degree. When we finally were able to take the tape off I almost had a heart attack. My boyfriend (fiance as of last night though)! was away on a business trip and I was losing my mind over the scars. My friend had to come over and literally talk me down.

I went to target and bought some bio-oil and some scarzone. (thank you to all the ladies talking about these products) and started using immediately. I use the scarzone in the morning and then i oil up really well with the bio oil at night before i go to bed. Be sure to massage the scars as you are applying.

Fast Forward to one month from surgery and I swear to you U can hardly see my scars, they are so light and faint that I actually have to look for them. Its AMAZING. I never thought that they would look like this and if they look this good only one month out then you can only imagine how they will look in 6 months or a year!!!!

Please dont worry, do what you need to do to get the job done the right way so you are happy with your results and be patient and you will have beautiful boobies. i dont know how to post nude pics here , but if you reply with an email address I would be happy to show you if would help ease your mind.

Good Luck!!!

I just noticed that you are in St. George. Although I am from California I traveled to Utah, South Jordan to be exact to have my surgery. Great docs there, you are in good hands I am sure.

I am 5 weeks out and just started using Scarfade a week ago. It seems my doctor believes in waiting longer to start on scar cream. I have not noticed too big of a difference so far. I noticed the scars on one breast are much more pronounced than on the other. Is bio oil really beneficial? I might need to check it out!

I think it is. Its when i started using the combination of the two that i really startd to see a difference. its not very expensive and you can buy it over the counter and my opinion of it is good. I believe its really helping me. just make sure to rub it in and massage those scars (sometimes it kinda hurts) as you are applying it. Its kind of oily and thats why i only use it at night, I dont want it to stain my bras. But I really like it.
