I just had a BA and feel like im going to die!

Help!! I can't urinate on my own. This wrap is cutting my cirulation off and I'm having excrutiating back pain. I havent slept or ate in 2 days. I cant even hold my meds now and I'll prolly have to go back to the Er for the 2nd time to have a cathier put in... IS THIS NORMAL?

btw I has 500cc HP salines under the muscle... any ideas to help me feel better will be great. All I can do is cry because im in so much pain. My surgery was yesterday can anyone tell me when this stage will pass? I'm regretting it now.

Are you drinking plenty of liquid? I remember that it was very weird urinating for the first few days after my BA too. I would sit on the toilet for so long and not be able to go for several minutes....It was horrible. I had to really fill up on water and gingerale and even then, hardly anything would come out and I had to have my husband help me to that bathroom several times a day....I was in so much pain, I had to have him help me pull my pants down and guide me down as I was trying to sit on the pot...AWFUL...

This does get better, please believe me. You hate yourself for doing it right now, but once you start to recover, you will start to be glad you did it. It just takes about a week or two....

I haven't gone through this yet
but...you also probably feel like crap
because your body is not getting
any nutrients (food + liquid)...You have just
had surgery and while you probably
feel too sick to eat...maybe eating some
crackers and I heard ginger ale ?
is good after surgery...try and keep
your body nourished...it really needs
the food and liquid to have energy to
recover...maybe some fruit might help ?

I hope you feel better soon...I hate feeling
sick and especially nausea...worse feeling
...of course pain is up there as well...so I can
understand you feeling awful right at this
moment...all the best...

I was there too

I had a total of 4 procedures done at one time. I couldn't go(bathroom) either. They kept me one night at the hospital, andthe last thing I had to do before they'd let me leave was to go on my own. My Pain wasn't bad, but I was in alot of discomfort which was unbearable also. They gave me lots of medication. I hope you feel better soon, and if it's too bad, ask your Dr for pain killers.

My DH is a RN and he says that sometimes in his patients that pain meds can cause some difficulty urinating. Though he says that the vast majority with this problem are men. I hope that is not the case because of your pain level. I remember having severe back and right arm pain the first day. I nearly killed my DH for all the rubbing and coaxing, lifting and readjusting that he had to do. Keep us informed and good luck. As the others have said drink lots of fluids. I'd recommend some cranberry juice for your bladder for pH balance. HTH's and btw I had SERIOUS regrets the first couple of days.

Oh I know how you feel! I felt I was going to die and wanted to rip the implants out for the first 4 days, then on day 5 I felt like I might make it through, and miraculously on day 6 I was pain free. I went from 2 Vicodin every 4 hours to extra strength Tylenol in the morning only on day 6 - it was bizzarre.

Somehow I thought that this surgery wouldn't hurt that much, and that pain meds would take away all the pain, not just dull it. What a surprise I had! I know you are just dying right now and so uncomfortable and in pain and scared, but it really does get better. After reading the forum for months I knew I was well prepared but nobody mentioned how much it would hurt.

I didnt have the same problem urinating - put I didnt poop for 5 days and puked pretty regularly. It was awful! Now with my 34 DD's I would do it again tomorrow. You will get through this, feel better and get well soon.

Like all of the other girls said, stay hydrated. And dont be afraid to seek medical attention if you need it. I called my PS hysterical that I might have a hematoma on day 3 because my left boob hurt a little bit more. He talked me through it but at the time I was absolutely terrified. Take care of yourself.

thanks girls...this helps ALOT! I feel MUCH better today keeping up on my meds..and I finally peed on my own this morning..thank god!! I got my bandages off today and I am so thrilled with the results. Even with the lift..I'd do it over again tomorrow. That first day was just rough.... and I've had 2 kids naturally..but the soreness and backpain kicked my butt.

Smile

you probably would have been much more comfortable without wraps - why do some drs order them and others not??? My ps just has you wear a bra, front fastening with no underwire or padding, I too had the lift and implants.

I am glad you are feeling better
