Wink Anyone have any experiences or opinions on the Binelli incision?

My quest for answers continues....one surgeon says I need a lift and would use the aereola (sp?) "lollipop" incision and the other surgeon says I'm borderline needing a lift and he would use the Binelli incision. I have read that the Binellli is less invasive with less scarring--anyone have any insights into this?
Also, thanks for all the input on the pain pump. I went from a yes to more recently a no. The no is because of the increased risk for infection. For some reason the staph bacteria has been rampant in our region. Even notes went home from the schools about it. My daughter picked up a staph infection just from sliding into third base and skinning her knee. When the abrasion didn't heal I took her to the doc who said that they are seeing tons of cases of staph in the valley but don't know why. So that litte detail sealed my decision!
My DH says I am overthinking all this --he's probably right. Welll, it will all be decided upon and over soon and I'll know I did my best to get prepared.
Thanks!

Whats the Benilli incision? Is that around the areola (circumareolar mastopexy)? If so, thats what I have - I guess it's what people also call the 'donut' incision. I am really happy with the way it turned out......

from what i understand benelli = donut = peri areola

i just had one may 30 and have yet to stop smiling. best decision. ever.

i can't figure out how to post pics on this site, but i'd be happy to email you some before and afters if you want. i was borderline needing a lollipop myself but opted to try for the least invasive option first. (i was droopy but my nipple was still above the crease).

My PS doesn't suggest giving me the option to choose my type of lift. He instead wants to put the implant in and then see if I need one first...if so, he'll do the type of lift he feels will look best. Does this sound normal?? I would LOVE to only have to have the Benelli. I am freaked out about waking up and having the full anchor...

I had a benelli lift and am very happy with my results. The scarring is less than with most lifts and if you are borderline, it's the way to go.

Trailrunner - I had the Binelli incision, and I have pics on my yahoo site, so if you request to join, you can see what it looks like after 1 month. There is definitely some wrinkling and puckering there still, but it does take 3 months or so for it to go away, which is no surprise to me. But every week I notice the wrinkling decreasing.

What's the deal with all these incision types named after desserts? Some unconscious urge on the doctors' part? Hmmmm...

Did you have a lift?? Your pre-BA photos do not appear that you would have needed a lift. Just wondering.

Lennie,
Yes, I had a lift. I had consulted with three PS back in May when I was still trying to decide who to work with and one said I definitely needed a lift and the other two said I was borderline and could go back in later to get it done when wanted. It didn't make sense to me to have a detail hanging out there (literallly ha ha) and the one doctor who said I needed it was very confident that if I didn't get it I would be dissatisfied in the long run. The picture of me in the bathing suit has some padding plus any suit that ties behind the neck I found especially flattering and managed to lift the little volume that I did have. Those strapless bathing suits and tops were so pathetic! I was the epitome of the "banana boob" except that there was hardly any banana!
I had my surgery yesterday and so far so good. I got a glimpse today at the post op and I think they look great! I know you read my post about taking the "before" pics and with my daughter (thanks for the comment!) so once I download those pics I'll post them and you'll get a better picture. Today I took a one day post of pic and am pretty psyched by the difference!
Yippee!
