Lift with Overs ...

My PS wants to do a lift with silicone over the muscle. I thought unders were the popular way to go but PS said studies show maybe not. (That's not how he said it but you know what I mean.) Would love to hear from anyone who has had overs with lift. To be honest, I'm kind of excited about it - hoping the recovery/healing won't take as long.

I have silicone overs and was advised to go for a lift too...I declined his kind offer of the lift, and so far, almost 2 years on, I've not regretted it...Iwas borderline for the lift incidentally x

Hi There

I had a lift with overs and totally happy with the results, scar wise they look great and its fantastic to have big boobies that dont fall to your feet when you take your bra off! I am gonna update my yahoo pages with pics this week, so feel free to join.

My recovery was easy as, and no real pain at all. Prob just abit uncomfortable, cant remember so much now.

Good luck with your decision!

Nic

I will be getting a lift, most likely overs as opposed to unders. Silicone.

Happy to hear your recovery went well!

I was also advised today during my second consult to get silicon overs but my first doc. was going to do unders, so im just as confused as you are. I hear that overs give better results if you are looking for a lift. I think i am opting just for a breast augmentation without a BL so overs should help. Let me know what you decide.

Hello - I went to 3 PS's all recommended a lift but one said I could wait a while. After dicussing with my hubby I went with just the breast augmentation - so far so good but I know I will get a lift in the future. I did not want to deal with the scars at this time......my boos were saggy now they are full and semi-perky - soon they will be full and perky - LOL!

I recently had a saline rupture & have been to 4 p.s. I heard that over is old school and since I have already had a breast augmentation should go for under. My 1st breast augmentation was over and all it did was give me bigger version of my small saggy boobs. I don't want to do this again and since I lived with 500cc for the last 8 yrs. don't mind swapping for the hp of the same cc (even though they are around 50cc smaller). I don't want just my skin holding up my twins, they need help. So a lift and under for me...no more saggy stretched out skin. Again that is how my skin is, doen't mean yours can't keep the implant tight and full over the next however many yrs. you choose to have them. Good luck!

My lift with OVERS has had an amazing result! The reason that unders are not reccomended for SOME women with sag is due to the extra risk of double-bubble of unders...

_______________*** Research conformation text below ***________________
The shape sometimes referred to as "double-bubble" is also more common after under-the-muscle implants. Strictly defined, the "double-bubble" look is a particular deformity of shape in which the round part of the breast produced by the implant sits at the normal level for a young "perky" breast, but the breast itself and the nipple have sagged downward and do not match with the implant.

1. The implants are under the muscle.
2. The breast itself has relaxed downward.

Placing the implant OVER the muscle should fill in any left-over sag, avoid the breast separation appearance and create a more full and perky end result.

Still so nervous! I just hope the full lift is the way to go. I look at it what's one more scar from the lollipop.. If this will give me what I want. Good to have natural DD's.

I have so much trust in my PS thankfully..

TWO DAYS!

I just wanted to wish you good luck Tampa, I can't wait to hear how it goes for you. I'll be getting a full lift with silicone overs for my 3rd surery, so I'm always eager to hear about other's experiences with lifts and overs.

Anyway, good luck!

I went will silicone overs and had a concentric mastopexy (donut lift) on my left. At my final consultation my PS told me that he would put the implant in and then decide if the lift was necessary. It ended up being necessary and I am very happy with the decision. Best of luck to you!!

thanks!!! what was ur reason for doing silicone instead of the saline?? was it because you were going over? or you wanted silicone more overall?

I went with silicone as I liked the feel of them better than the saline. I also went with textured silicone because my PS said I would have less chance of rippling. So far I am very happy with them and they look and feel very natural.
