I just had a breast augmentation with donut lift/aerola reduction 2 1/2 weeks ago, so I don't have any pics yet and don't know about the scarring so soon, the tape is even still on. I was scared of the 'puckering' look around the areola that my ps told me could occur and I don't have much of that at all (altho it does smooth out in time so it is not really a big deal).

I think they can only reduce the areola so much using a donut lift vs an anchor lift because of trying to stitch together something of a larger diameter (breast tissue) to much smaller diameter (areola). If it is a little smaller they can stitch it together, there just may be a bit of puckering, but to make a huge difference in diameter I think they would have to go to an anchor lift. I am happy with how mine looks so far. Good luck!

I haven't taken pics yet. If possible, don't look at your incision right afterwards. It can be a little scary. The first time I looked at the areola incision I had to go lay down because I got light headed. But listen, it is fine now and I'm only 1 month out. It looked like someone, anyone, cut off my nipple and then stitched it roughly back on. It looked that way do to going from cutting the portion of skin out and sewing back to smaller surface area. There was puckering but I have already noticed improvement. I think the scabs from the dried blood, the black stiches made the biggest impact. I felt like Frankenstein. I'll have to take pictures so you can see now. I do have a few internal stitches that are trying to make their way out so there are a few spots around the incision that are more puffy. I will either "spit" them out in time or they will dissolve. I can tell, in time, it will look fine. It's funny, I almost can't tell my areolas are smaller but when I look at the skin, I can. So don't expect a huge difference. My areola skin is much tighter (from being stretched) so I think that is why. I had just finished breastfeeding my son 3 months ago so the areolas had been stretched from 2 pregnancies and nursing. Good luck and don't let the initial look scare you too much.

As far as the puckering, it looks rough in the first week, but the skin starts laying down quickly and even though I had it at first, now at one month out, none.

Doughnut Lift

I just had a bilateral doughnut lift with areola reduction two days ago and I'm really excited to see my results. I haven't seen how I look without the tape on so I'm kind of scared. If anyone has any photos of what they looked like right after that would be helpful. Just so I know what to expect and don't freak out!
Thanks!!!
