Question Girls WITH A LIFT ADVICE NEEDED

Hi girls,

I had my breast augmentation a month ago along with a lollipop lift. I was allowed to
removed my steri-strips last week. Well, I practically freaked out !!!! I have an areolar bigger than the other. ???????? It's very visible my 14 yr old daughter saw it right away.
I have no nipple senasation at all and they are still swollen Have any of you girls with a lift experienced this difference in areolars.
My DH says it doesn't matter than I'm healing well and the twins look good so I shouldn't fuss over this ..... well I am !!!! I'm soo disappointed ...I even took the time to show my ps a picture of areolars before the OR and he reassured me that he was going to do them exactly as the pic. Ahhhhh,
I'm seeing him in 2weeks.
Waiting for your input,

i cried when i saw my scars! I think you need to wait a while to decide your feelings on them as its a big op and change and they will change and heal a lot over the next few months. Personally my views towards mine are changing on a daily basis as are my boobs.

If you see your surgeon soon for a check up voice your concerns straight away so if you want corrective surgery your get a reduced rate.

i had a full lift and mine areolas were the "standard" they make everyone and they stretched out a little to a more natural look. The stitching was what bothered me bc it wasn't totally even circumference wise. Now I am 2 mo. out and it has softened up around the edging. I have pics in my album. Maybe it is already d & f'ing ahead of the other side. Give it at least a month to see what happens or when you go back in 2 wks. I heal like...what you see is what you get, i don't change much. Hopefully you will for the better.

Yes, I had a benelli (donut) lift and areola reduction almost 8 wks ago, I only recently got my first look at my areola because I had steri strips on the first 4 weeks and then the dr put paper tape on which I left on a couple of weeks before I changed it. From what I can tell, one areola is noticably bigger than the other. I am hoping that maybe it just looks that way because the scars are kind of red and wider in some areas and maybe make it look different on each side? I see my dr next Friday so I'll see what he says then. :S

My nipple sensation started coming back at about 6 wks and is still gradually getting back to normal, so give that time, yours will probably return too.

Definitely check in with your PS about the different sizes... but I agree with others above, you may still have some changing whilst you heal.

As far as the NIPPLE sensation... I was soooo very bummed when my sensation came back slowly.... then it was not quite the same. I mean I could feel, but sexually, the sensation was not even close... it has been 6 months and the sexual sensation FINALLY came back... I am so happy because I had given up. So patience on the sensation, and good luck at your appt about the size difference.

Yep, same problem here. My right is slightly larger than the left and it bugs me. She even did a slight revision in the office, but still it is different. I might mention it when I see her in a couple of weeks to discuss my re-do to go larger.
Also, I am still pretty numb on my left side, but right side feels normal.

No lift here, but I do have uneven/unbalanced areolas now. My old scars after the 2nd surgery were about 1/16" wide and very white. With this 3rd surgery, he did a scar revision on the leftie with completely disolvable internal sutures, and closed up the rightie the same way. So far, the incisions look like they will be very narrow, but, but, but... since the incisions go about 1/2 way around the outside of the areola, the distance from the edge of my nipples to the incisions (on the bottom-side of my boobs) is shorter than from the edge of my nipples to the un-cut edge of my areolas (on the top-side of my boobs). They aren't circles any more.. they are more like a squashed oval. But, Hubby says the scars are going to look so much better now, and besides him, there's no one else that will see them, so I guess it doesn't matter too much.

i had bennelli and my left is sliiiightly bigger and smoother.. i have to go get my righty revised so maybe that will make them even since it will stretch it out more

the puckering around the nipples is what bothers me.. can't wait for that to smooth out..

I had a crescent lift and my left immediately appeared smaller (areola) than my right--following surgery. I was a bit upset, but as time and healing have occurred it is less noticeable and though it may be a bit smaller, I think they were uneven to start and just having "work" done, made it appear more noticable. My DH cannot tell at all.

Same thing here.... I had benelli lift and mine are uneven. My ps also did an areolar reduction, although I cant really tell. (only slightly) I dont mind areolas being a bit different, but my nips are slightly off too.... Hopefully ps will fix once I hit six months. (he wont touch it before then)

How did your ps do a revision in the office? Mine might have to do that since he had to pull a permanent stitch around the areola. He said he could fix it under local. How much is involved with this? Thanks
