I had the full anchor lift on 10-3-06 and had taken the steri strip off after a week. I had complications from the steri strip or the stitches... I kept getting little blisters on my incisions. But for the most part one week after surgery I was massaging and I guess you could say they were "healed" by then because the massaging was so vigorous. I still had to wear a patch of padding to cover the blisters to keep from staining my new bras for at least 6 weeks tho.

It took a good 2.5 weeks for the incisions to heal, and there were still a couple spots that were oozing. My PS said no worries, though

I am searching "blisters" on here b/c it seems I get them and than they heal and go away and than I get them again. I can't figure out why. I just started my period today and yesterday I got a new blister and the puss came out and today I got another under neath it and the puss just came out. My P.S. said not to worry about it b/c he see's this every so often, but still, they heal and than come back?? I don't understand. I have been running and am wondering if I should stop that all together now....

are the blisters normal? Will they EVER go away and NOT come back? Can my skin be more sensitive b/c of my monthly and they show up?

I'm so lost about this....shouldn't I be healed almost completely by now??

Arrrr! I'll keep searching this board. There's got to be someone out there with my same problem.

Hey there. It took me about a month before my incisions were completely & totally healed. I had the steri strips on for about that long as well as my PS said that it helps with scarring. If you would like to check out my pics send me a FR.

it took me about a month to heal, 6weeks before the steri strips fell off. a good 2months before I felt well enough to do everything. A anchor lift is major surgery & we tend to over do it too soon, so just take it easy so your body can heal good.

It sounds to me like your PS used dissolvable sutures and you are one of a few who are allergic to them. After my first breast augmentation, I had a reoccuring pustule on one of my incisions due to a reaction to the dissolvable sutures. Some people call it "spitting stiches" meaning the body is treating the stitch like a foreign object and trying to expel it from the body. I didn't have this issue with my revision because he used permanent stitches that he removed.

I think I read somewhere that it can last up to a year for some people, but don't quote me on that. Hope that helps.
