lift ladies, shelf bra to sleep?

Hi Ladies,
I have been soooo uncomfortabe sleeping with the sports bra...so lastnight I slept with a cami w/shelf bra. Much more comfy...Do you think it really matters? I did not ask PS...I will when I see him on Fri. In the meantime...I would love to just sleep in the cami w/shelf bra...What do ya think?
Thankyou

JACQELINERT will become famous soon enough
Since I had my BA and BL separately, I have a bit different perspective.

After my lift, my PS did not need me ever to wear a bra at all. After my BA, he wanted me in a sports bra for a few weeks, to help "stablize" the implants. A shelf bra doesn't give that all-round support that helps stabilize them.

But PSs are all over the map on this bra-wearing question, so this is one of those annoying areas where the answer is "ask your PS" (especially annoying in the middle of a long weekend LOL!).

All you can do is try to weigh the increased comfort against the possibility that something will happen in the next two days, and you will worry it was caused by your not wearing the sports bra! Judgment call.

(Note, I only had a crescent lift, so my experience may not be relevant. )

My PS suggested camis with shelf bras. He doesn't recommend much support at all for the first several weeks. From reading the forum here, however, it's apparent that all PSs are different in that regard!

Sorry to say...

My PS was one of the "different" ones. He put me in the front-opening surgical bra after the BA/BL and had me in it for a full 8 weeks, no cheating allowed! So this is definitely a judgement call for the PS to make I am afraid...you definitely don't want to damage your new additions! Good luck!

I also have to stay in a full support sports bra.....I have another PO on Tues, so I'm hoping that he'll tell me then, that the sports bra can go "bye bye"!!! I think I will probably still sleep in mine though.....just ready for a normal bra under clothes!
Let us know what your PS says!

I still sleep in my sports bra (aka straight jacket!), even though it's a matter of choice now. I've got this silly paranoia that I'm going to roll over and pop my stitches or hurt myself...even 6 wks post op I still feel fragile, but I'm pretty much a hypochondriac anyway!

I THINK YOU SHOULD FOLLOW WHAT YOUR PS TOLD YOU.I DON'T THINK SPORTS BRAS ARE UNCOMFORTABLE AT ALL. I'M USING THEM UNTIL NOW (MORE THAN A MONTH NOW )..BUT ALL OF THEM ARE NIKEWOMEN..THEY ARE SO UNCOMFORTABLE AND YOU CAN GO OUT ANYWHERE WITH THEM
