Just to update. I got brave and removed and replaced all of my steri-strip tape last night with the new tape they gave me. I gave everything some air to dry out a little. I can tear the new tape in half so it is a very thin line just covering over my incisions so I could put some cream on the blistered skin. I am supposed to keep using and replacing this tape for the next 6 months! It feels better so it will probably be ok. Cainaz...you didn't cause me worry. You really just informed me of something I didn't realize could happen, and the nurse in my PS office told me to look for any irritation under the tape and when I changed it and to come in so they could remove the stitch if that happened. Since you shared your story I knew what she meant, so I thank you a million!!! I think that I am going to be good....for now....thanks to all of you!!! |

I had my stitches taken out after 1 week, then I had steri strips put on. My ps told me to try to keep them on for a week, one came off after 3 days and I took the other off after a week. I had a BL/breast augmentation with another PS before and I didn't have steri strips at all. I'm shocked at the number of weeks everyhone else keeps them on Last edited by Karebear; 08-13-2009 at 03:17 PM. Reason: typo |
