Reccomendations-best type of lift with implant

Hello Ladies,

I have been roaming this board for months now and I am still so very indecisive even though you all give such great advice and information!

I have been on two consults with two different doctors, both recommend a lift (I've had two children) however, one recommends only a lift while the other Dr. prefers a lift plus implant.

My first question is: what is the best type of lift?
Dr 1-Cosmetic Vertical Breast Lift
Dr 2- "T" incision

I want the results to resemble my breasts prior to children. I do not want to increase my size at all, however I also do not want to loose which I understand always happens after a lift so I am leaning towards the lift plus implant.
What are the lowest CC's I can use to get a very natural, unnoticeable look?
I want a full B or very small C-after swelling and dropping occurs.

Please help Ladies! Any info would be greatly appreciated, I have no knowledge regarding this and I really want to make the right decision before doing something so big!

I dream about the big day!!

Hi and Welcome!!
If the T-Lift is the same as a full anchor lift (not sure, maybe someone else can help you out) then I might be able to help a little!? I have only had a full anchor lift, so if you have questions about that, feel free to ask! Also, with the lift, your size shouldn't go down more than the size of your thumb, at least that's what I was told by a few different doctors.
So if you want to stay the same size, I would think that it wouldn't be absolutely necessary to put implants in at all!
What is your current size? Hope this helps!

The T lift is the ancher which cuts around the areola down from the middle and under the crease. This is supposed to give the most lift. I ready somewhere that it decreases breast size from a 1/2 to a whole cup size. The vertical lift is the anchor lift without the incision on the crease. It depends on how much sagging you have. Maybe you should try a third opinion.

Hi there & welcome to JBI. I am currently living in the bay area too. Well the lift all depends on your outcome of the boobs. I am not saying that you wont have a great lift with one or the other but usually the full anchor is the one that lifts you the most. Takes away more skin. I have to say that I love having an implant with my lift. <3 Now I didnt get the full anchor but I did get the lollipop which is around the areola & down the crease. He makes like a key hole shape & closes you up. I see such a big differences with my before & afters. I think your best bet is to take in pics to show what you want. Find a ps that you love & he understands what you want. If you have any questions feel free to talk anytime.

I have full lift with implants!

And I absolutely love the results (so far)! Honestly, I could not ask for a better shape. There is no way I would have received even close to this outcome if I wouldn't have gone with the lift. To me shape and position was very important so the scars are a trade off. I lost a lot of breast tissue throughout the years so there is no way I could have had a good result with just a lift. I really needed the implants to fill me back out. My main goal was just to get it right the first time. So even though I didn't like that I needed a lift I went ahead and got it because the reality was that I needed it. In my case the combination of lift and implant was the best option! Good luck in your decision!

Thank you!

Thank you guys so much for the feedback, it helps sooo much to hear it from fellow females that have already gone through it rather than spending countless hours researching the net!

@ Daisydog...Who did you use in the bay area? You seem to be very happy and one of the things that is stressing me out the most is finding the right PS!
I have been on two consults and I just don't feel the connection I should feel with either of them. I just want someone that has the same goals as I do. The first Dr. I felt was attempting to make me way too big for my liking even after I stated I did not want to be big and the 2nd said just a really good lift...two totally different opinions! I'm so confused!!

I want/need the lift and then I just want a slight, tiny implant to fill in the scooping I will have and push them up a bit more but I really do not want to look any bigger than I am...What type of lift and implant should I get??? Please help!!

Hi Daisy,

I also PM'ed you the info...

I live in the San Jose/Evergreen area and really dont mind making a drive for the right PS.

So far I have met with Dr Leonard Grey in SF but I just didn't really vibe with him. I did not feel like he really grasped the results I was after but instead gave me a typical/rehearsed opinion he gives to most of his patients. He recommended a mastopexy "T" incision and Allergan gel implants in style 10 (moderate profile) 330cc. After researching I feel like these are too big for the results I am trying to achieve. I felt like they were big in the office but it was hard for me to communicate to him exactly what I visualized & after leaving I felt like he just really didn't get it.

I also met with Dr Lauren Greenberg who is located in Palo Alto.
I really liked Dr Greenberg and felt like she understood my results a lot more than Dr Grey did but she suggested I do a lift only and said "if you get the lift and then decide you want more you can always come and do the implant".
This really confused me, I would never want to go through the surgery and healing process twice just knock it out in one procedure (downtime is tough with 2 little kids). She did however seem to have a lot of specialization performing a lift.

Thanks!

hey babe i'm in the same boat as you - i was tols a benelli a lollipop OR a full anchor by three different plastic surgeons!!Im gettin a large-ish implant tonot only give me the size and upper pole fullness but to lift them up a bit higher!!
iv had the same probs with my PS - im 23 and they all seem to NOT want to do anything but th benelli cos they dont want to scar me vertically so young - i dont really care about the scar i just hate the way my boobs look atm and the scars fade.
im thinking if you dont really want a larger cup size and just some fullness in tehe top of your breast you should only get a tiny implant - 200-250? it also depends if you go over/under and exactly how much skin and tissue your PS will take out!
keep intouch!xx
