Benelli Lift vs Full lift?

Hi..

I'm quite confused about making a decision between the Benelli Lift vs Full Lift. I know the Benelli lift is a minor lift with just the removal of the aerola and that the full lift will give me a T incision.

I went to my third PS visit recently (was able to push my appt up to an earlier date ) and the first PS suggested I do breast aug with benelli lift due to my minor saginess that I got from my weight loss. The second PS suggested I just do the breast aug because he said I might not need the lift after having the silicone implant inserted. He said if I wanted the lift afterward, I could do it 6 months following surgery. And the third PS had suggested a full lift with breast aug because he said he does not believe in benelli lift. He said it does not make a difference and does not believe it works. After I told the 3rd PS that I had gone to other PS and their suggestions (aside from telling him that I didn't want the scarring from the full lift because I don't think my breasts need a full lift) he re-examined me and told me I might not need a lift after all depending on the implant that is inserted in me.

I feel more confused than ever! lol My questions really is...have any of you had the benelli lift done and did it make a difference in the appearance of your breasts?

All input would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi there! I am having the same problem with deciding between benelli or lollipop lift. I have seen 4 PS's so far and its split down the middle..2 suggest benelli, the other 2 suggest lollipop. I am going on another consult today to see what this PS says and see if she can tip the scales in the right direction for me! I'm hoping for a Benelli because like you, I really am not a fan of the lollipop scars (however some girls on here have had it done and the scars are barely visible). The main difference I see so far with Benelli and lollipop is that the Benelli doesnt lift AS much, so if you have significant sagging (which you say you dont), then the lollipop will be better for long term results. One PS I went to said my sagging wasn't "terrible" but he still suggested the lollipop..he said he could do the Benelli and get away with it, but I would have to have them redone in 5-6 years as opposed to maybe 8 years. So honestly, if your sagging isnt that bad, I would say go with Benelli. I think those scars should only be necessary if you really really need it. Hopefully I will be able to decide if i really need it also!

Good luck let me know how it goes!

I can't find any 2 PS to ever share the same idea... I had the same some yes some say no... the benelli would be a waste of time for me.... I had NONE and got a larger implant than I wanted... I was and am not happy most days I am going to go eventually and have smaller implants with a fulllift around the year post op mark.. However what I don't like I know others are very comfortable with... Just wanted to chime in there... Also I was terrified of the scars and now I could careless if it's gonna make me feel better in bra, bathing suits and just clothes then the trade off in my eyes is well worth it!!

I got a benelli lift and could not be happier. I was never heavy breasted and I also got a smaller implant. I think those are factors in a benelli being sucessful. While I did have some sagging, my nipple/areola were not lower than the crease so they did not have to be lifted that high.

My new and improved boobs are now high, round and a very natural lookng 34D. I love the fact that I have no visable scarring. They look and feel like they have always been a part of my body.

That's what I'm afraid of..that I will have the breast augmentation without the Benelli lift and then regret it. According to one of the PS I was told that my nipples are above the crease. It might not warrant a lift considering that I'm going between 450cc-550cc saline HP implants.

And actually, after discussing all the info with my fiance (he's been to every single consultation I've gone to), he said that he understood that one PS suggested the benelli lift and the other two suggested to lift my nipple slightly by inserting an HP implant.

Iris,
I'm glad to hear you had a successful experience with the benelli lift. I'm 32A/34B now and was looking for a small D, maybe.

Yes my nips were above my crease before my breast augmentation however my breast sits naturally low on my chest wall so combined together makes a BLAH breast augmentation IMO... Ugggg!!!! Just keep looking at alot of before and after that compare to you and you will start seeing what you like and don't like and that should further guide your decision!!! One other thing I can suggest is if you go with a PS and decide not to lift but than after 6 mos you want the lift see if you can get your PS to work out a deal on a staged breast augmentation so he can reduce the rate of the lift after the breast augmentation.Negoiate that before should help. Thats were I am at and paying twice sucks!!!

I got the Benelli lift and I am really glad I did. Believe me, I didn't want to AT ALL. I didn't want scars. But I am 21 days out and they look great already, plus my boobs look SUPER perky. I definitely recommend a lift with a breast augmentation - you might as well go the full Monty.

Send me a FR so you can see my pictures. I upload pictures of my recovery on a weekly basis. I just added more about 10 minutes ago.

Good luck!

My Doc is advocating a doughnut lift with breast augmentation redo. I am going to switch out my 15 year old saline "overs" to silicone "unders" very worried about scarring and what it will look like once it heals. Are the scars very apparent? Thanks in advance

Lift

I got a dounut lift with my breast augmentation and the scarring is not bad. I will also say that my breasts are not nearly as perky as I would like for them to be. I have zero upper pole fullness. After I have children I will get a full lift and possibly HP smaller implants to get the upper pole fullness that I would like.

I needed a full lift on one breast and only an areola lift on the other, I think both look great and perky. It depends on what is most important to you, perkiness vs scarring. The scar that I have from the lift is barely noticeable, however you can not see any scarring around the areola. Hope this helps.

I am 5'4 115lbs. I was a C cup prior to having children. I was so saggy by the time I was done that if I had just gotten a lift i would have been a small A. (to give you a mental picture) I went to two consultations. One said benelli the other said none. I went with 325cc and a benelli. Im very happy with my results. Im now a full C/small D depending on the bra. My breast have a natural hang to them that I love, but most certainly not saggy. Also keep in mind, like me, due to wieght gain your areolas are probably larger than they used to be and will look nice smaller. I know mine sure do! My scars are hardly noticable and Im only 7 weeks PO. I wouldnt want to go back in 6 months for a lift after recovering from the initial surgery. IMO. Hope that helps you out.

Hello I had my first full breast lift in 1997 and to be honest it hurt more for the implants behind the muscle (cutting the muscle) than the lift. I couldnt beleive how minimal my scarring was/is. I went on 3 consults and all 3 told me full lift so glad I did. Breastfeeding put a beating on my tatas but in the end its so worth it.

Since then I have had my lift redone because I had 2 more children but knew it wasnt going to be bad scarring etc.... I have pics if you want and also I told my surgeon to trim my aerolas size of a quarter make me look like I have my 18 yr old boobs lol!

Good luck I promise full lift isnt bad...

Im actually looking to go bigger in March hehehe yes the greed has set in.

Take care
Nicole

I am getting the BL with implants April 1st. As a read all the posts I am wondering if I should go under the muscle so that I don't need a lift sooner. UGH!!!

If it were me I would do the benilli lift with the implants and see how things turn out. If the lift didn't do enough then you can always go back to get the lollipop lift. This way you don't add an extra scar unless needed.

Hi,

Interesting to read your messages.
I had 350cc over the muscle and now have double bubble on one boob.
My surgeon says the only solution is a lift, that I really do not want! Don't want the ugly T scar...
Thought getting bigger implants could do the trick, but apparently not? Don't really get it... Thought filling the "empty space" would be enough?? Has anyone here ever had this kind of recommendation??

I just wanted a benelli I too scared of the scars I just had a full anchor lift done 4 wks ago I had breast augmentation with no lift that I hated for a year.. All I can say is what a difference the lift makes I am glad I did it.. Each day the scars seem to fade they really are not that bad!!

benelli lifts typically work only for minor sagging issues. i'm pretty sure that's what i'm going to end up getting because i worry about the scars from getting a full BL. benelli lifts can get you lifted about 4cm, which for some people is totally worth it. i don't have kids yet so i'm going to end up getting a benelli now and then after i have children one day, i will most definitely need a full BL.

I had a benelli lift with implants done on Wednesday. Of course it is still very early, but I am very happy with my results. My sagging was considered moderate by most ps and it was split 50/50, some saying I needed a full anchor others saying benelli. My ps said I could go either way, but since I did not want to risk the scarring, he said if I go with a larger impant (which large for me is 350cc) that combined with the benelli would lift me substantially. So far so good and he said the surgery was very successful.

I had a crescent lift done with my breast augmentation and did nothing for me. Went back and had a lollipop done still not happy, now going for an anchor lift. I so did not want any scars either but I rather have them nice and perky.

Good luck with what you decide to do

Benelli Lft

I am scheduled to see my PS in two weeks and I was wondering about the Benelli lift. I was wondering if any women of color have an experience with this type of lift and how bad the scarring is. Mu Tummy tuck scar is still visble that that was done a year ago. My main concern is that I do not want to have scars everywhere. Can someone of color help me with this
