I won't keep them up for long-they're gross to me and it's embarrassing. Men are superficial assholes-just had to get that out there. but in looking at my own pictures...I guess I can't blame him for saying what he says. It's 5 weeks tomorrow since my benneli. A week after the surgery, the tape came off. My nips and areolas were the same size, same shape. The left one was a little more swollen-had more skin removed on the left side. I guess over the past couple of weeks, rightie has flattened and stretched out. Leftie seems to have gotten more squished and puffy. I work, have 3 kids and part-time fitness instructor(very part-time) so I guess I haven't really been paying that much attention to them...until the other day. Oh my gosh-they're horrible. My husband is telling me I got ripped off-Im cock eyed. I shoulda waited to get the lift, so it's my fault they're f-d up. I feel really unattractive. I can't wear anything but black because you can see just how puffy my left is-it's like a mushroom cap-thru my shirt. I go tomorrow for my 1 month check up. I don't know what he will say, but I guess I need opinions of those that have gone thru the lift/areola procedure. I don't want to show my man my tits anymore-even if/when they look great. He said he was sorry the following day, even made coffee-he reacts to stress in a very unsensitive way. Men are such strange little animals sometimes. Anyway-thanks for your time and your honest opinions- |

I hope some gals with a benelli lift will post soon, but I've heard that it can take awhile for the scars to smooth out with a benelli lift. If I were you, I'd give it some more time...I can tell that they're still red and healing. One thing I can tell you is that areola scars can heal very differently than other scars. It's totally different tissue and IMO, takes more time for some women. I'm sorry you're hurting and I'm sorry your husband is being insensitive about it.

Blah to the DH!!! I have seen some girls use those silicone sheets around there areola to kind of flatten them and help the healing along.. You can ask your plastic surgeon if you can use them now.. I believe it was make me heal . com had the round stickers... Daisydog used them and her incision look real good.. hopefully others will chime !!! Feel better your only a month out and scars do take time!!

I called the plastic surgeon office today and asked if I could swim and remove the steri-strips - they said YES, and were surprised at four weeks that they were still taped. I wish now that I had NOT removed them - the aerola on both sides are red/angry and seem to have spread wide before my very eyes in the past three hours. I do not have any thing to tape them down with - or I'd reattach more strips! Sent a FR - will take pix and post too.

Dear readyforboobies, Keep your chin up! Try not to take what DH says to heart. Remember, one day at a time- slow and steady wins the race. Best of luck, xoxo. |

Hi, I had a benilli ( i think lol they took my areola off and reduced the size of it) I too have mushroom nips and I HATE IT!! I went to the dr for my 3 month post op and it was cold in the room so i couldnt show him how they were. I had puffy nipples and slightly tuberous breasts before. Now they are puffy again! Somehow all my pics got deleted within the past 2 months. I will find my pics and post them again later as well as take another to show you what the nips look like now THANKS! Quote:

You are three months out and still no improvement on the puffy nips? That must suck. I keep saying to myself to look at them just once a week and I will notice an improvement....Im 6 weeks out and its frustrating. On the up side, I have made a commitment to myself not to mention anything else to my husband about it. He sees me frustrated, sees messed up nips and sees more $$$$ signs to fix it. So its best to keep my mouth shut..... And quietly scream in the bathroom!!!! Your pics probably got erased. There was a message from the Boss ladies stating that if you didn't post for a month, then pics would be erased. Thanks for your support JBI sisters! | |

lol, not sure if this is a post by you - http://www.realself.com/review/Breas...-with-implants but i was searching for info on mine and it sure sounds like you!! lol i called my dr yesterday after I read your post and told them the issue they said b/c I'm oregnant now (dumb ass! lol 3 1/2 mo post op (abdomen lipo and boobs I am 11 weeks preg!!!!!!) but we can do a revision after I have the baby. Revision = free at least thats what it sounds life to me. it wasnt your fault (if it IS jacked up) and it's somethign your dr should have considered in your initial surgery. You ARE only 5 weeks out and I rember have very flat, almost inverted areola due to the internal stitches (goretex they told me yesterday) . It's when those popped that they got puffy. If you dont mind them being puffy but even, you're goooood! lol My stiches popped at diff times over the 3 months. someof yours have probably popped and the others will take longer Call ur dr and tell him/her your concern. If yoru dr is anythign like mine all the nurses and even the girls who answer the phones and make appts and very knowlegable in all of this and they can let u know whats norm or not. I have called them at least 20 times in the past 3 mo! lol Jess Quote:

Hi there! I had the same kind of "hershy kiss" nipple thing going on..sometimes it seemed a little more obvious, other times I couldn't even tell. I just had a full anchor lift, am about 9 weeks post op and am still wearing tape. My doctor recommended to wear the surgical paper tape for the first 3-4 months for the best possible scars. I recently started using silicone sheets as well, then the putting the surgical tape on top to keep them in place. I know it seems a bit excessive, but I figure I will be having to look at these for the rest of my life, so what is just a couple of months of taping?! Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi there! I just sent the original poster a friend's request. I had a Benelli lift and I am happy with it, but my nipples are by no means perfect. Also, one of my boobs is lower than the other. I am going to wait until 6 months post-op before I freak out. Everything I read says that a lot can change in that time, so I have hope. Also, whenever I feel bad about my post-op boobs, I just look at my pre-op pictures. That ALWAYS makes me feel better! My fake boobs might not be perfect, but they are a million times better than what I had.

had a lift you can certainly look at my post op pictures. I know it is a little overwhelming to see all that scarring but it does fade in time. This my second lift and it does flatten out and look great but does take time

hopefully your doctor will ease some of your concern tomorrow. sorry your husband is being such a jerk. you should have a big strong arms to hold you up at a time like this. men, when they act like babies, are usually way worse than our actual kids. he's being a clueless chump...but i'm assuming that he's just scared like you and mindlessly venting in your direction is easier than finding and expressing his real feelings. because of this, i'd try to avoid the subject w/your man and look to your doc and especially here for support. wishing you the best! heal up well! i haven't been there yet, but i've read a lot of stories on the ongoing transformation before the complete heal. good luck! |
