![]() | Pretty much depending on my Doctor to make final decision..Scary!!!
Hi all, So I explained to my Doctor just exactly what I wanted. I even showed him pictures. BIG/FULL/ROUND and actually prefer the fake look hehe. I have 34d (saggy) so, of course, I'm having a BA/BL. We agreed on 420 cc but the lift is still up in the air. I would love to just do the areolar lift without the lollipop lift because of the scarring. He said he would determine it on the "table" if I needed the extra lift to get the look I really want. My question is would you completely trust your Doctor on the final results, waking up not knowing exactly what to find under the bandage! kinda freaking out! |

![]() | I would. If you have shown him the look you want and he is clear about your expectations then i dont see any problems with it. Just be sure you are 100% on the same page and im sure it will be just fine! Good luck! |

Yeah it is pretty scary stuff! But you've chosen your plastic surgeon for a reason...and you have to trust that they know whats best. I woke up from my surgery and hour late because my plastic surgeon said that my left breast didn't quite look correct. He was meticulous for over an hour sculpting it and ultimately made the decision to put less cc's on that side! (which had not even been discussed because I was previously measured perfectly even) I'm sure you will be fine...good luck!!!

I'm actually having the same concerns. I'm a droopy 34c getting a BL/BA too with a benelli lift (areola scar) and pretty small implants (250-300ccs - not sure of size yet), and I expressed to my surgeon A LOT the way I want them to look and I showed him pics as well. He said that he thinks I will be fine with just the benelli and the 275 cc's, but he said if he needs to make a small vertical incision to get the "perky" look I want, then that is what he will do. So for me, at this point I just want the results to come out how I described to him, and I trust him to do what he feels looks right when I'm on the table. HOWEVER - if you REALLY dont want something done, then you should tell him no is no and that's that. Some people refuse to have the lollipop scar no matter what, and it's your body, so it's your decision. Good luck! |

I would! I felt 100% confident in my doctor. That was something that was extremely important to me from the beginning. Good for you for holding your ground regarding the size and shape. I’m sure you will have a beautiful result!!

I'm doing the same thing...going in with 3 different sizes (within 75 cc of each other) and getting what we think is a benelli but could turn into a full lift. He knows what I am after and will make the decision on the table. In a way it is easier for me that way..less stress about what to do. It's easier for them to decide once they see you w/the implants in and lifted, than to guess beforehand on what will look best.

I did!! My sag was borderline and we were not sure if I would require a benelli or not. I was just fine with him deciding on the table. I knew I had researched him very well prior to seeing him and had other consults as well. If I could possibly make it through surgery without any more cutting than necessary and still get my results...GREAT! Otherwise, I told him to do what he had to do. I mean, isnt that how its going to end up anyway? If you tell him not to do the lift, then wish you had, you will have to endure another surgery and recovery. If you tell him to do it before you are put under, what if it wasnt necessary? I hope my ramble made some sense!! Edited to add: I did wake up with a Benelli!! So happy with the way they look!

My concern is the dr will end up doing what they think is best not always what you want. i say that from my experience as what i think looks good is/was different to what my dr thought looked good. I wanted bigger than my dr would do. Problem out of all the dr's i visited he was the one i felt most comfortable with. Hope all goes well with you |

I just endured that situation for the last nine months I was a saggy 34B/C and very borderline lift... I told the doc that I did not want the FAKE look but I also did not want super saggy either.... I signed for the consent for the BL and BA but he would decide on the table...He decided to go bigger and no lift... NOW I know that my results are not bad ALOT of people LUV them... I don't at all and to make matters worse going bigger my body did not like I bottomed out on one side.... So to end my long saga and get what I orginally wanted I need full pocket revision smaller implants and a lollipop or more depending on how small I go... Gezzzzzz scary right... Not at all what could happen to you just my experience summed up of course alot of detail left out but you get the idea.... I know I wish I heard some of the bad before so I could learn from them... We all learn in life from experience and sometimes from mistakes.... best of luck in your decison

I am a little leary of letting him decide too because he offered me three options: Just a BA, just a BL or a BA/BL but he also said realistically a BA/BL would be the option to get good results....ok so I said min. scar (mean Benelli and he said that should do the trick but I often find that the lollipop is needed...I trust him don't get me wrong BUT I have seen TONS of people with the same sag and skin as mine with the benelli and an implant in the 300-400 range and have really great results. So after talking it over with DH he said tell him just to do the benelli and see how you like the results. If you still are not happy then go for a redo with the lollipop. My DH is scared of the scarring etc so am I....and I think I may want to go a little bit bigger later on anyway. Not huge but more in the 450 range not the 340 range. Basically what I am saying is if you are good with either or then I would be more trusting. If your not 100% about one of the options then I would make the decision for yourself GL |

I an in a similar situation. My doctor is going to choose what's best for me. I told him what I needed to be fixed, and what I wanted to otherwise achieve, so for me I think it would be best in him deciding that since I don't know the anatomy of my chest, and couldnt even guess what implant cc's or shape I need to achieve the results I want. All girls come out different with the same implants; cc's and shape. 350 cc's might look small on one petite girl, and large on a girl of very similar statistics. It might give one girl ample cleavage, and leave the other with too large of a space. It's more of a guessing game for us. I am not at all saying that some of you girls were right on the money, and look great in what you suggested to the doctor, but in a situation like mine, I am a petite girl, but have broad shoulders, and a broad chest, I am going to just give him my wants, and show him pictures, and then put complete trust in him. Telling him that I want or don't want a certain amount of cc's or a certain shape (Mod,Mod,HP) I think would limit, and possibly could take away from the results you want. But like it was said before, be specific in 'what your wants are'-be on the same page as the doctor. But we can't expect to look like those girls in the pictures we bring, because there is so much even the best of doctors can do. But they can make you look most like the pictures as they can. I think it's easier for them to match the 'size' more specifically. That's just how I am feeling right now, and what I plan to do. |

i think i like the idea of lolli best of the lifts for myself. imho, as far as the lolli goes, i think you sacrifice a little in scarring, but the nipple placement always seems great and well sized. the other lifts sometimes stretch the nipple awkwardly during healing. ah, but theres pros and cons everywhere. as long as you are not adamantly against it, if you trust your doctor enough to have him operate on you, you should trust him to make the right decision. hes kind of an artist sculpting with tools hes familiar with. if he knows what you want to achieve, and he knows what "tools" he needs to get you there, it may change his result to give him limited tools to work with. but if you really don't want it, just say no. its your $$$$ best of luck! i can't wait to hear of your great results!! |

![]() | i would just trust the plastic surgeon. there is no amount of research we can do that will give us as much experience as the plastic surgeon. all you can do is go into this informed about the procedures you are getting.

![]() | I really have to agree with this. As far as determining whether or not to do a lift, I think you have to go with the doctor's opinion. As far as size just be very clear with the look you are going for and roughly where you want to be. Ultimately if your communication is clear, then everything should be ideal. Best wishes.
