Hi there!

I looked on the internet for you and it looks like that the lift they do going down from the nipple to the crease. I got the benelli lift even tho my ps wanted to do the full anchor lift and I'm very happy with it. There's a risk of puckering aroung the nipple which I had for the first couple of months, but it went away. Are you getting implants put in also?

I got the lollipop lift which is a circular incision around the areola and then a straight line incision from the underneath of the areola to the crease of the breast. it makes the shape of a lollipop on your breast. i would have rather had the benelli lift but after breastfeeding four kids my ta ta's were too far gone. so far i have no incisional pain. my surgery was on the 11th.

types of breast lifts

Breast lift is also called mastopexy. When it is done with implants it helps lift the breast by increasing the volume of the contents of the breast.

There is the Benelli or (concentric) "donut" lift, where the circles around the areola are cut and the dead tissues removed. The incisions are stitched using "purse string" incisions, which look puckered at first but eventually flatten out and fade to white. This is usually used for women without too much sag, or with smaller breasts.

The crescent lift for minimal sag may be done by repositioning the nipple and tightening of the breast apex skin by cutting a crescent shaped piece of skin from above the nipple. This allows the top of the areola to be repositioned upward by about 2-3 cm and the nipple to move up about 1-1.5 cm.

The lollipop lift is when the surgeon makes a cut around the areola which descends down to the bottom fold of the breast where it meets the chest. A strip of skin is removed along this cut and the two sides are stitched together. Even with this additional vertical cut, this procedure leaves less scarring than the more common anchor-shaped breast lift.

In the anchor shaped breast lift, the surgeon draws a key-hole shape above the nipple and areola. At the bottom of this, he will draw and anchor shape from the right to the left side of the breast. The skin in the upper area of the "anchor will be removed along with some of the excess breast tissue. The nipple and areola are moved up to the lower "key hole" and then the skin is stitched around the areola, vertically down to the chest and side to side along the newly created fold of the breast.

Breast lift surgery usually takes one to five hours, depending on the technique used. It is usually performed under general anesthesia. The recovery period for a breast lift is much like a BA. I hope this post was helpful to you!!! XOXO Love, Lizzie
