D vs DD

Okay so I'm about a month and half out but am still having problems finding that perfect bra size. I started a 34B and with 360 on the left and 375 on the right (overs) , I am now a D cup. I've gone to VS and gotten measured and she goes, try a 38D and I almost started laughing in her face because just from looking at that size I know that I would never fill that out but i have found that I'm pretty comfy in the 36D size. It's so hard to find D cups out there in the stores and I really dont want to buy something online and go through the hassle of returning if it's not going to fit. My question is: is there a big difference between a D and a DD bra? I find myself checking alot to make sure that the girls dont fall out of my bra and it shouldn't be like that so i'm wondering if i should go for a DD cup. should i try a 34D or DD if I started out with the 34B to begin with? I hate bra shopping, Help please!!!! what's the difference between a 34D and a 36D?

I can wear a 34C and 32DD, but 34 bands are easier to find. A 34D would equal something like a 36C so maybe those would be easier to find. What I did when I was having trouble, I took a ton of bras into a fitting room, all different sizes. Then when I found one that fit I went and brought a lot of bras in that size into the fitting room. For me 34C fit the best since I couldn't find 32 bands anywhere.

I agree...bra shopping is frustrating...although I am happy I now actually need to do it. I went to VS this weekend and did just what Jess did. Brought in an array of sizes. I found that I am a 34D (c cups gap at the sides on me). Then I bought a couple in that size.

It seems if you are a 34D you can wear a 36C. OR if you are a 36D you could wear a 34DD bra. See the pattern?
The number is your band size. I have a 29in rib cage so you add five (four is it's an even number) and that gives you your number. In saying this....I have found both C and D bras that fit. I also tried on some bras that were 38D and they surprisingly fit. So the only advice I can give...is to try lots of different styles and sizes. You'll find the one you like most....Best of Luck!!!
