How to get your REAL RC measurement?

Dumb Question ...

The Website gives detailed instructions on how to measure your correct RC size....I would just like to know if the ladies on this forum has used the website's formula i.e adding 4" to an even number measurement (i.e 30" + 4"=34" Ribcage) or and uneven number measured and adding 5" to get the actual RC size....If most of you HAVE measured by this method I am stumped!

I am 5'5", 110lbs and have a 31" RC before adding any inches...(Oh my waist is 24" and my hips 36")

If the website method is CORRECT I feel like a Buffalo compared to other girls with similar stat!

Any advice?

Remember not to get ribcage and bandsize measurements confused.

The ribcage measurements I've seen on this forum range between 27" (which is a 32 band size) and 33" (which is a 38 band size).

Go to almost any bra store and most of the bras are between a 32 and a 38 band. You, like me, have a 31" ribcage, so we wear a 36 band.

You are so right, I thought about this bandsize business. They obviously add 4 or 5 inches to cater for all bra manufacturers size wise.

Thanks!

Don't even worry about it, I work at La Senza and almost everyone I measure is a 36! It's on of the most common band sizes. However don't always buy bras according to your "size", because all bras fit differently and you may be up or down a size... Always try a few on to see what works best! Band/cup measurements are a guideline only

Thanks everyone for the advice. As far as the classic, stat order goes (i.e bust-waist-hips) I would be a 36 B? (meaning my Bra cup size and band?). I know its a silly question but just had to clarify it

Hey hon...just wanted to add that the measuring guide is an estimate...many ladies can fit 2 diff band sizes b/c of the adjustable settings.

I have a 30" r/c but I'm lean, so my "true" bandsize is actually a 33, not a 34. The cups on 32 bands aren't wide enough & the bands on the 34's are a bit loose, so I actually have my 34's altered. For anyone that has this problem, find a bra boutique that does alterations...mine doesn't require that you buy your bra there...the alteration is free if you do, but otherwise $5.

Hmmm....Thanks Jo.

If I may ask, off the topic, re: your breast augmentation, was your placement done over or under the muscle?

If this is you on your Signature, they look stunning. We have similar stats except that I am 6lbs heavier...
