Getting Upset about CC

So... lately (as i get closer to my breast augmentation date) i've been feeling a little down about my ps's cc decision (275, maaaaybeee 300). originally i completely agreed with him because i figured "he's the expert" but now i feel like i'm going to get cheated out of something i've wanted as long as i can remember! i understand why he made this decision, but i still can't help but feel disappointed with it

so to the ladies who already had their breast augmentation's: how do yall deal if your results end up less than what you wanted??? and does anyone have tips for maybe convincing the ps to increase size? (i'm getting cohesive so i don't know if he's ordering them or what)

I am very small - but had pretty stretchy skin from nursing two babies - so I accomodated a larger implant even thought I was only a 32AA Flat Flat Flat. For me - I would have been dissapointed with anything smaller than I got - as it is (two weeks out) they are starting to look smallish to me. I would have been really bummed if I wasn't at least a very full C.

Is he not able to do/fit anything over 300 or is he being conservative?

I got 460cc on each. Originally wanted 500cc. He gave me the pros and cons of going 500cc and decided to so with what he had suggested. I am so glad I did. It really depends on you relationship with your PS. You need to feel good about asking him why he feels 275-300cc is the best he could give. Once he gives you the pros and cons of staying smaller or going bigger then you can feel great about your decesion.

Well you defintely can't overfill your cohesive gels... so you won't be able to go bigger... but I would seriously express your concern. Call the PS office and let them know you are just not happy with that amount of cc's. Remember it's your body and you will have live with your results and wait later down the road for a redo to go bigger..... Trust your instinct.. if there is no medical reason why you cant go bigger than I would push for it....!!!

Did your ps give you a reason of why you couldn't go bigger? My ps said I could go max 390 cc's but when I requested 390..He wanted me to go to 380 and 370..It probably wouldn't make much of a difference. He said the reason was because my body wouldn't take that big of an implant. He measured me and measured the implant and I did see what he was talking about. I also don't have much breast tissue even though I breastfeed my two children. Just talk to him and be honest.

My PS also recommended 275cc for my body frame, rib cage, breast tissue etc. After reading through the forum here I decided I wanted to go a wee bit bigger, so I phoned him the day before surgery. I asked for 325cc, he was a bit hesitant but agreed with me. He had to resechdule my breast augmentation until the following week as he had to order the implants from Europe. In the end, I am very happy with the results and it's all because of the wonderful ladies on here!!

I can't help you much with size, I haven't gotten mine yet but I know when I talked to my PS about size at my consult he said that he would bring in 3 different sizes of implants for the day of surgery in case i changed my mind. I am also going to be getting silicone. I would ask your surgeon about this.

Look, it depends on your surgeon.
First I had scheduled my surgery with a PS who wanted to put 255 above the muscle periolar (VERY LITTLE), and as I'm very tall (6'1) I said that it was very little and had a discussion with him. The point was that my areola was very little and I had no breast tissue, so he didn't want to do his job, because it was easier for him to put a little implant on me.
So I decided to go to others PS, until I found the correct one. He said that it was true that I had tight skin and he couldn't put a very large implant; he could put between 300 to 355 under the muscle (to look more natural). Well, here I'm with Silimed 355 smooth HP unders!
So, if I were you I'd ask others PS, and listen to what they say!

Aw I forgot to said that he told me that in 3 years from now my muscle and my skin will stretch and he will be able to put a larger implant.
Be careful with the stretch marks: don't put a VERY big implant if your skin is very tight because they can appear and actually they don't look very good...
To prevent them I asked my dermatologo for a cream: it has vit A, vit E, colageno, elastina and centella asiatica (I don't know how to translate that, sorry)

I do honestly understand ur feelings on this....I had 290s, b/c my ps said that was the most that my skin/tissue could take....when i was offered it, i was so excited cos i had nothing, and hadnt found this forum, having found the forum post breast augmentation, yes, i too felt very cheated at how some women can get much bigger implants....but i do on a regular basis have to be realistic that if i had had any bigger implants, they would ve been so false looking, i wouldve been stretched to silly limits...but on a bad day, i wish like mad i had been a luckier woman that day walking into the ps' surgery....
But on a lighter note, i love my body now with my boobs, they are by no means tiny, but smaller compared to many on here. And it is amazing how u can dress them up...having said all the negatives ive just said, i am still grateful to have had the chance to get boobs at all.....good luck, I hope u find what will make u happy, im sure you will have highs and lows like i have...but always remember what u started with, then u will realise you have a bonus....xxxx

Ask him what his criteria are. When I asked that, my PS said "the implants have to be at least 1 cm smaller than your breast base." I said "how about .5 cms smaller?" He said, okay, but no bigger than that. I said, "Will I still get a natural looking result?" He said, "Yes, I think you will have an excellent chance of getting a natural result." In my post op visits, he keeps saying, "Wow, that's a really good size for you!" LOL

I had the opposite experience. I went in wanting 350cc's- and thinking the PS would say no way- that's too big.

Well, the PS and his nurse actually recommended 425-450's because so many women think they went too small. The cool thing they did was put out 4 implants and have me try them on not knowing what the cc's were. I chose 420's!!

Also, I was told by my PS that if you go silicone under the muscle, the size limit is endless- regardless of breast tissure, etc. My PS is a bit more liberal than some I hear mentioned on here, though.

I am new here and learning as I go, but I am going nuts over cc's.
I went in with the idea that I wanted 450cc, but when I asked the Doc what he thought he said "I think 450 is small- I can put 600's in you" He seems VERY liberal with the sizing. I am very broad chested and will probably be fine with 450, but now I am thinking I should go bigger. How in the world did yall ever decide??
I have used the rice and it didn't seem to work for me. The sizers at the PS made me look like Dolly Parton, but not in a sexy way.

If it was me i wouldnt go ahead until i was completely satisfied that is the cc's that i wanted. My PS originally wanted to put 340cc in me because he is quite conservative and said to me that he is conservative but after consulting other PS's that recommended 400-420cc i decided that they were right and he was wrong. In saying that i felt the most comfortable with the first PS i went and saw and wanted him to do the surgery and at my 2nd consult discussed my concerns about thinking i could go bigger and not wanting to be disappointed afterwards- he was very supportive of my decision and we changed it to 410cc.

When i tried on the original 340cc i think i agreed with him on the size because to start with i was like "whoa these are huge", but after thinking about it they weren't really and after wearing the rice boobs around got used to that very quickly. Have you tried the rice boobs?...remember if you are going to go under the muscle you will need to add approx 15% onto that amount for real implants.

Have you spoken to more than one PS about the best size for you? I think he should be a little accomodating of your requests after all its your body- just talk to him and see what he says- you should feel totally comfortable with him especially if he is the one going to cut you up.

thanks for all yalls input! i spoke with my ps who told me he made his choice completely objectively. i do have very tight skin and extremely little breast tissue. he told me with the cohesives, they form to the breast so it'd be semi-impossible to go any bigger. he said if i wanted more cc's, my option would be going with saline, but reminded me it wouldn't look as natural as i originally wanted & with more saline cc's i'd be likely to get "side boob" (which i stressed to him i did NOT want). a lady that works in his office let me know that she looked over my charts and thinks i may still be able to achieve a C-cup. so, overall i'm going to trust their professional experience because the last thing i want to do is jeopardize my health in the name of bigger boobs! i think the plan & simple fact i have to realize is my body won't accept anything bigger without looking deformed!

Wow!! I am feeling exactly the same! My breast augmentation is in 5 days... my ps recomended 330cc saline-filled under.. Good luck to you!!

If you're going to go thru all the aggravation of the surgery, pain, $ – go for 300 cc's atleast. I got 300cc's, saline, under muscle. Its been 3 weeks since surgery and i finally got the a-ok to wear a reg. bra. The size that fits the best, cup wise, is 34 D. I don't look like a D but since implants are shaped different than natural breast, bra cups fit different.

Naked my boobs look huge to me, in a sweatshirt they get lost and look small. So, in looking 3 weeks back, i think maybe i should have gone 350cc's. I am 5'4'', 120 lbs. and 28" ribcage. My goal was to have boobs but not be obvious that i had surgery. I wanted approx a C cup. I think that is what i got. They look great but could have been a tad bit bigger looking in clothing... isn't that always the story. :-)

My PS was really pushing 300-325's for me, which would be a large B or small C because of my body frame, age etc.

...Except I can be pretty pushy sometimes myself, so I told him that for $8300.00 of my own money, I don't want the "natural" look. If I wanted a moderate cup size, I would've saved myself the time and bought another water bra. Basically, I just flat out said no.
Now I'm getting 410
