I need some advice girls. I know I've had my BA pretty recently, but I don't think I'm going to change much more. Well, before my BA, my left breast was a little bigger than the right so my PS put a bigger implant in the right on to offset the size difference. He ended putting 315L 345R. My right breast also had a lower crease than my left side, but my PS just left that as is because it wasn't too noticeable. Now my right breast is noticeably bigger than my left (he over-did the size difference in the implants). Also, the implant with smaller amount of cc's has a different diameter, and you can kind of tell that one of the implants goes more into my cleavage than the other (it's kind of hard to explain, I hope you understand what I mean lol). I don't really know what to do. When I went to get my bra sized measured at Nordstrom, the woman told me right away that the one boob was bigger. I noticed right after my BA that the one was bigger than the other and I thought it was just swelling. The swelling has definitely gone away though, and they are probably going to stay like this. I'm just so lost. I really don't like how my one breast is smaller than the other. What should I do????

Call your PS and tell him how you feel. Explain your concerns and see what he can do for you. Hopefully he can help you with this. GL

Hey there- I don't have any real advise- but I can relate! I'm 6 weeks out and my lefty is a lot bigger than the right. I started with assymetry, but rather than addressing it, my PS put the same amount of ccs in each breast. Now my left is noticeably bigger! (When I was flat, they were both so small it didn't really matter. The size difference between the two was the least of my problems). What I will say is that it is a) much more noticeable in photos than in real life & b) much more noticeable to you than anyone else. Most likely, the bra lady noticed because she was actually measuring you. People don't notice mine in real life until I Point it out. The photos are much more obvious (as you can probably tell). When I asked my PS about it, he explained that I started of with that assymetry and he kept it to keep me looking "natural" and also so that the crease would be even. I wish you luck on this! I can relate!

Well you are still pretty early out, and because it was a bigger implant you are going to have more swelling since your skin had to stretch more.
I think you should give it some time and buy bras that fit the larger breast first until they settle more. I know that the swelling goes down A LOT in a pretty short amount of time, but that doesn't mean that they aren't done healing. Give them a chance. ![]() |

Definitely talk to your PS about it and give your body the time it needs for the swelling to go down, etc. It might take you closer to 6 months for everything to heal, settle, etc. Good luck!

I agree with Angie89, it is to soon to decide anything right now. Your only 23 days out from surgery... with unders. You are going to have at least a couple/few months before you may see your end result. Even a year or more sometimes. I am 8 months out and still have changes going on, and I am not done yet. Be patient. They will only get better looking each day from here on out. ~Shelly~

Carlili--I am 29 days post op and having the same issue except same cc's were put in each breasts. I am hoping it is still early enough to be just a side effect some people get. You hear alot about being swollen, uneven, etc. and I think it can last up to two months in some people. At least I am hoping!!!! |

Thanks girls for the support! I never realized that in pictures it is much more noticeable. When I look at one of my pictures and then look at myself in the mirror at the same time, it's definitely less noticeable in person. I just really don't like how the cleavage is like off-center if you know what I mean. The larger diameter implant like goes in the center more. I know it's early, and I should give it time. I just don't really have time because I'm going back to school in September and I'm going to be super busy. I'm sorry I'm whining so much. I'm just upset a little...

I wouldn't count on things evening out.
My left was slighty bigger before, and noone mentioned the idea of different sized implants to me. Now at 12 weeks my left is noticably bigger, and begins right in the centre of my chest, while the smaller right one is all the way over the other side. They look wonderful. NOT |

I am only 6 days post-op but am also concerned that the left breast is bigger. Before surgery I discussed a very small size difference with my PS and he said he'd adjust for it during surgery. The right breast was filled to 400cc and the left - I can't remember maybe 430 or 450. I think he put in too much in the left. I know I'm still healing and have a long way to go but some days the left breast looks a lot bigger, some days it looks a little bit bigger. A little bigger I can live with, a lot bigger I can't. I'm going to try to be patient as I heal and hope for the best.

I had some mild asymmetry. My saline implants are the same size, but one is filled with an additional 25 cc's. Even now if I look hard enough, I can notice some slight difference, but I know what I'm looking for. In clothes, no one could ever tell.
That said, your body takes much longer to heal than what you'd think. I am about 14 weeks out and I am still softening!! I was convinced at 6 weeks that what I had was how I'd stay, and I was feeling a little disappointed in how they didn't look quite even and weren't real squishy and soft. Lo and behold, they are MUCH better now, and I suspect they'll keep improving. I'd say it's something to keep an eye on, and definitely mention to your ps at your next appointment. My ps told me that to COMPLETELY and FULLY heal from a ba can take up to 18 months!! ![]() |

I was in the same situation...righty was smaller so it got a larger/wider implant. I feel like I can tell it's bigger, but no one else can, they think i'm crazy. Even I can admit though, the difference is very small, but it didn't really even up (well, as much as it is) until 3.5 months!

I've been where you are...at least up until about a week and a half ago. i did have a revision on one of my breasts that the ps had added more cc's to try and make them more symmetrical. ended up being too much. luckily i went with saline for that reason and he was able to go in and take some out to even it out better. also had to get my crease stitched as well.
I would definitely recommend speaking to your ps about it, even though he might suggest you wait a little longer. most will not do a revision that soon after surgery anyway. also, there could still be some swelling, but chances are they are going to be different and you can't change the diameter - unfortunately, it is what it is. did he discuss the chances of it not being more symmetrical ahead of time? was it his suggestion or did you make it a point to ask him to try and fix the asymmetry? just curious, because that can make a big difference in him waiving his fees for a redo. i did sign and agree for my ps to put more cc's in my smaller breast, however, he was the one that decided how much to put in. it was never really discussed with me what would be appropriate. i actually assumed by looking at pictures ahead of time that he would put in about 20cc's extra. it wasn't until 6mo. post-op when i decided to pursue getting something done about it that i found out that he had actually put in an extra 40cc's. so he did go back in and take out 20 which made it much better. i wish you lots of luck with your ps. if you have any questions for me you can always pm me. believe me, i do understand exactly how you're feeling.

I am in the same boat.. Before the redo the left was a little bigger and my right crease has always been lower. Now the right is a little bigger than the left. So, unless i went saline i had to go 50CC increments.
No one can tell but me and the upper pole is the same. My righty is a tiny bit wider, but i was aware. they still look better than the 1st time and the ripples .. I guess we are not perfect and maybe it will make us look more natural.. If i was noticably off in clothing. I would say something. You have to do what makes you happy.. |
