How did you pick you size?

Hey Ladies,

Just curious how you picked which size you wanted. I think i would like to go up to a D but im terrified that it would be to big for me

Just wondering how everone else picked their size thanks!!

Hi sunnygal...

I looked at a million before and after pics of girls with similar stats as me and also talked to a lot of the girls on here with similar stats....

I took pictures i had printed out of before and after pics with me to the consult and really discussed what look i wanted - 'like i had grown them myself' -- advice courtesy of Cec.

My PS also had many spare implants at the consult that he allowed me to try on to see what they looked like on me. I recommend wearing a beige sports bra so it gives you a better idea of what it will look like naked. (white gives you the WHOA factor)

I also then tried the rice test (found on this website).

My best piece of advice--- because at first i found even the smallest of implants HUGE- (basically because anything was better than the nothing i had)...I recommend doing the rice test and experimenting with adding or taking rice until you find the size you like...and wear those as much as possible... you will be amazed how 'small' they start to seem...

I didn't even know exactly how big I got until I woke up. LOL. I asked my PS to give me the biggest possible. I'm transformed from A to D(or baby DD) and I'm happy with what I have now

What is your stats?

Honestly I dont know.... I haven't been to see a PS yet as I have to travel to see one, I am thinking of going early 07, how exactly would I find what my stats are?

By stats i mean height, weight, rib cage circumference etc... as all these will effect how a particular size implant appears on you...

You will also want to check when comparing to others pictures what implant placement they had (under or over the muscles) as this plays a part in overall size, and also the profile the implants have (high profile, moderate profile etc)..

I also looked at other peoples shoulder width and hip width...to get a better idea of what they would look like on my body...

Try to go to several PS's to find one that you feel comfortable doing the surgery on you...and most importantly one that takes a genuine interest in what outcome YOU want (instead of telling you what he/she is going to give you)...

It's ok not to know what you want before you go to your first consult... majority of people going to get breast augmentation havent had the luxury of a website like this to help them beforehand... a good PS will take all the time in the world to make sure you get what you want and explain everything involved.

You can look at pictures in women's clothing catalogs, online or off. Look at the lingerie pages and see if you can find a size you think you'd like on yourself. Of course, the models are all skinny and perfect with big boobs, so it's a little hard to judge, but keep at it and you'll find some. Then save those pics to show your PS. And I agree with Rachel totally on the rice test. Won't give you a precise cc size, but will let you get comfortable with boobs on your chest.

I didnt have a clue what size, and my ps will not talk cup sizes,. he's says there;s no guarantee on a cup size so i told him i wanted to look as though id grow them myself ! he measured my shoulders, waist and hips and said the perfect figure would have this size boobs, he suggested 270-290 so i chose 290, and , yes, they look like they're mine,all mine..... people still see me before they see my boobs, unless im off out for a party, then i like to show them off bad !

I told my ps that I wanted to have bigger boobs but not in your face boobs. I wanted to fill out a bikini (which I do nicely). I still wanted to be able to knee board and wakeboard without boobs getting in the way, but still wanted to look hot and sexy when I just riding in the boat.
The ps never measured me. He placed his hands around my rib cage to get the circumfrence size. He said that I was petite and that in his opinion that even if I did go with 350cc I'd look like I had tennis balls under my skin. That was not the look I was going for. I told him I also wanted to get my money's worth out of doing this.

I did the rice boobs at 325cc and the water boobs at 300cc. The water boob test was much more comfortable and gave a better shape. 10 oz of water is 300cc.

I have a friend who has 275cc saline overs and she is a B cup and a friend that is 400cc with overfilling. That was just too much for my size and much more obvious than I felt comfortable going with.

At the pre-op I was given the 300 and the 350 saline implants to try one. I loved the looked of the 300 and thought the 350 were just much more than the look I was going for. The ps gave me the in the middle size.

At my consult I was able to "play" with sample implants. My husband, PS and I all talked through sizes--I placed them inside a dummy bra (PS supplied) and we all gave opinions as to how then looked with my body type. My PS also suggested I put my shirt back on --we looked at them covered up as well. It's not exact but it gave us all a general concensus on what we liked. This helped a lot!

I have to agree with Victoria!

That is how it happened at my consult exactly... Tried on some sizers with a bra provided by my PS, and then put my shirt to see the "look" Its just about what you want, what you feel comfortable with, what size you think looks best for you... Remember you are the one that has to deal with them!! Good luck on whatever you decide, and keep us posted!!!

I looked at tons and tons of before/after pictures of gals with my same stats. At my consult I asked about the largest I could go and tried on sizers. I didn't go as big as I could have but settled on a happy medium. I was very scared of going too small or too large and figured with 390cc implants I wouldn't be unhappy and I'm not.

Of course looking back I wish I would have went with the larger 420cc implant but at the time I was scared. I am happy with what I have though and when the time comes to replace them I will go bigger then

I tried looking at pictures of women with similar stats to mine, but I found that even then sizes varied far too much. My ps doesn't like to guarantee cup sizes either. What I did in the end was try on implants in various sizes inside a sports bra and I also put my shirt back on. I found that was a great way to choose the one that suited me best. I went back a second time with my husband to try them on again just to be sure as well.

It all depends on your stats. I wanted to go with 500cc and my PS said that he felt that my body would not strech that much. He gave me the closes he could to 500cc and I am very happy. I have been getting a bit of boob greed I must admit lately. The more I get use to them the smaller they look.
