Q's about getting sized for you girls...

i know im too early to be sized and all that but hearing about all u girls getting sized and measured is getting me excited.. my question is where am i supposed to go to get measured? i may end up DD or bigger so where would the best place for me to go to get measured with these big ol boobies! ive never been sized or anything before so do i go somewhere in the mall or something? and am i suppose let the saleswoman in my dressing room or what? lol i just dont want to embarrass myself :x

Hi, not sure if this will help at all really since I live in England!!! Most big stores offer a measuring service and over here they do come into the changing room with you. Some measure with a bra on and some measure with it off - but its a bit like a doctors they've seen it all before!!! Stores over here train the more mature staff and so its just like taking your clothes off in front of your mum! I hope this helps :S

I found the ladies in Nordstroms lingerie department to be quite helpful and thorough.
I have also been sized at VS and FOH.

Nordstroms without a doubt. Forget about VS... most of the time they don't give accurate measurements and push bigger cup girls into bigger band sizes which makes us saggy.

I Would Definitely Go To Nordstrom Lingerie Department Instead Of Vs. They Carry Many Brands And Various Sizes, Versus Vs Which Carries Smaller Sizes (only Certain Sub Brands Carry Dd No Ddd B.t.w.) I Am Quite Sure That Measurements Will Not Be Accurate When Sizing You (any Of Us For That Matter), But If The Lady Is Knowledgeable She Will Be Able To Give You An Estimate And A Few Bras To Try On Just By Looking At You After Her Measurement Is Not Making Sense. I Worked For V.s. As A Sales Manager For Many Years And My "forte" Were The Fitting Rooms, And In My Experience Fake Boobies Never Come Out Correct On Measuring Tapes, The Reason Being: Don't Want To Lie, Not Sure But Will Try To Explain It. During My Orientation After The "fitting Lesson" When I First Was Hired, My District Manager Asked Me To Measure Her, She Had These Incredible Boobs And I Was Sure I Was Going To Measure Her At A D. When I Read The Measuring Tape I Looked At Her Confused, My Count Had Measured A B!!! I Was Like Omg She's Going To Think I'm A Total Airhead! She Laughed And Said "it's Okay, I Know! Fake Boobs Never Come Out Accurate. That's Because Alot Of The Fullnes Is On The Upper Part Of The Breast Versus On The Bottom Like A Natural Breast, And That Is Why Measurements Were Not Accurate." I Recently Visited V.s. And Had A Lady Measure Me, Guess What?? She Measured Me At A C Lol She Looked At Me Like "no Way!" I Laughed And Explained. 6 Years Later It's Me With The Fake Boobs And An Inaccurate Measurement Yay!!! Lol

Anyways, I Would Recommend Just Trying About 4 Combinations Of Different Cups And Bands. See Which One Meets Your Needs And Acheives The Look You Want. Most Importanlty Let The Sales Lady Know Your Bra Expectations.

I Recommend Trying On Dkny Bras In A Balconet Style (they Carry Dd), Recently Tried Them And Loved Em'!

BY THE WAY, REASON FOR THAT: THERE CUPS DON'T GO OVER DD AND THEY TRY TO FIT YOU IN WHAT IS KNOWN AS SISTER SIZES, WHICH IS: UP A BAND DOWN A CUP OR VICE-VERSA. I KNOW, DOESNT REALLY WORK FOR US BOOBIFIED GIRLS RIGHT?

I went to Dillards.. Most of the time the clerks there will ask if you need help and offer to measure you, if not you could ask one of them to assist you in finding the right size bra for you. Most big name department stores have this available for you. My saleswoman was very hands on but was super comfortable. She brought me bras in the dressing room, helped me put them on.. EVEN brought me a shirt to be over one of the bras so I could see how the bras looked under different tops.. (bought the top too). Its really very very fun!!!

(I initially choose Dillards because they carry the Le Mystere bras for the breast augmented woman)

I went to Macy's. ANy good mall store should work.. I measured at home early on. Did the ribcage snugly & then over the chest. I subtracted & got I think 4 inches differencr which go t the D. I think you can measure across the largest part of your breast to get a size too. I think this website has how to do it...

The girls at Nordstroms has been amazing! I would wait until 6 weeks to get sized though. My PS made me promise I would wait until then to measure and I am glad I did! I had a ton of changes the first few weeks. I am still having changes here and there but they are not as drastic.

Nordstroms for sure, they have seen it all. A women I have shopped with have had breast cancer and have mis-shaped breasts. These women are total pros and will make sure you find the perfect fit!
