Adding Cc's how much to really make a difference
Oh...I wish I would have found you ladies before I had my BA done. I am 6 weeks post op and from the moment I woke up and looked down...I said...that's it....that's how big they are...
I am 5"4, weight 161...I got mentor high profile saline, 460cc's over the muscle...well they are over the muscle but under the fascia of the muscle...so its kind of an in between. I told my PS that I wanted to be a full C...D in size...but didn't realize that because of the shape of my breast, that was not really going to give me the look I wanted. I had seen pix in his office of women who got 440-460 cc's and thought they were huge...well that was them...this is me...totally different body make up. Long story short...I have to have a second surgery to set the crease on my left set and also hold that implant up and in place. It is tending to bottom out. My question is this...I want to ask him if he can put more in...but how many more cc's will it take to make a visual difference?....My implant card says the fill volume is 500cc's...does that mean he can only fill that full?...and will 40 cc's really make a difference? I did talk to him at my last appoitnment about my size and asked his honest opinion and told him that I didn't think I looked that big. He told me that to get the look that he thought I wanted he would have to put in 700cc's and he thought that amount would possibly have a negative affect and he wasn't sure that they would hold up and that I could possible have the same problem on my right side as I am having on my left. So...he thinks the 460's are perfect... any info on the cc amounts would be appreciated. |

I would think it would probably take 100 + cc's to really make a visible difference to you. HOwever, if you are already having problems with bottoming out and your PS has suggested it would not be a good idea to go bigger, you probably ought to really weigh the pros and cons of going larger. Everyone is different and thought it is hard to take at times, all of our bodies are not meant to hold the larger implants.
I would be precautious if I were you, but you might also seek the advise of another PS to see what he might think as well. Good luck to you. |

I think typically its about 150 cc to go up a size? There are restrictions on overfill, to stay within the warranty from Mentor on the implants you have.. or you could get a new, larger implant and get another warranty on THOSE. Always good to stay with your PS's recommendation to avoid possible complications though. But if you think your PS is being conservative in size, you can always get a second opinion from another PS just to confirm. JMO.

I understand you because that happened to me. But, I agree with the girls. Definitavely to made a redo worth it you should get 150+. In my case, I got 150cc and I can see the difference on me! (you can check my album, the cover is 350cc the rest 500cc). To reach a cup size the PS suggest between 150 to 235. But , watch out, every anatomy if different!
Another thing, no 40cc, is nothing is about 2 tablespoon. Dont get scared by numbers, when I decide to switch to 500cc, I always think OMG, thats too much, is got to be huge. No, well actually I think I can be comfortable on 600 or 650cc!! BUT I like mines now, thats my third and hope my last. Hope that help!!! ![]()

Maybe he could go big, like 700 but go under the muscle? Would that help?? If you want a big look, I would go as big as you could because if not you won't be happy with 1/2 cup size!! Any questions just holla!!!

50cc's wont make any difference.... I got 325 more cc's my second time (475cc first BA and 800cc's 2nd BA) and i feel a tiny bit fuller, but i dont really feel that much bigger.... so my personal advice is go AT LEAST 300 more cc's then you had last time if not more... if i could go back in time i would have chosen 1,000cc's for my 2nd BA making that 525 more cc's... hopefully that would have made a difference

150 cc's made a big difference for me but, someone with your anatomy would need much more. I agree that you would need about 200cc's to see the difference and avoid further dissapointments.
If however, you are bottoming out with the current size you may put yourself at higher risk with going bigger. I agree though that unders may be a benefit vs. overs.

At my consult my surgeon only had 450 and 500's, I asked why he didnt carry the 475 and he said well to be honest, when you get into the higher numbers (400+) you can't really tell that much of a difference with just a few cc's. To notice a difference you need 150+ cc's in the larger implants. He said if you had a smaller implant, say 250-300 area then 50 cc's would be more noticable. Hope that helps!

if you are already bottoming out I would be concerned but just ask him how high are your risks with a larger implant, but if you are going to get a redo i say go big or go home! haha! i had 375 mentor moderates and i had my redo yesterday to 630 on the left and 650 on the right mentor high profile, and although i am early out, i don't feel any different. i can tell i am fuller and have a smaller space between my boobs but i don't feel like i almost doubled my cc amount. granted they will hopefully go through some changes in the next few months and get bigger, but i think i could have easily gone with an 800 and not look crazy, though i will stick with these until I have to have a redo. so if you want big, go for it! and good luck!

Yeah, if 700cc's is what it's going to take for you to get the look you're after then I wouldn't hesitate in asking for them, unless your PS had concerns. Otherwise if you go smaller than this for a redo you might not notice much of a difference.
