Help w/Incision Placement
Hi. I'm new here, but have read a lot of the other chats and think they're great. So, I happily joined.
I'm getting my BA on 1/29/07, and my doctor is confusing me a bit. I want Silicon Implants by my own choice. I am also getting round smooth and going submuscular. He was fine w/that. I also told him that I want to be a full C. Not really a D. Here's where the confusion starts. He said I can go 12.5cm wide and probably get 400 cc's. Is that too big for me? I do have a big rib cage if that means anything. This whole CC thing is sooo confusing. I'm suppose to go see him next week to confirm everything. Lastly, I wanted the Areola incision, but he said there could be a sensation problem afterward and he recommended the inframammory incision. He also said that most silicone are done w/the infrmammory incision. I really thought the scaring would be less w/the areola incision so am confused and concerned. Can anyone help me w/this? Specifically what incision they got and why and if they are happy w/it or not. Also, any help on the cc's would be great too. |

What are your stats (height, weight, ribcage, current bra size)? A D cup sounds a lot bigger than it is with implants. Implants can be deceptive, in clothing a D cup is going to look like a C cup. It's very easy to hide implants, I'm a D cup, I can wear a sweat shirt and you cant tell I have any breasts at all. OR I can wear something form fitting and watch eyes pop out of the heads of those around me. Sensation loss is possible with any implant placement. During surgery nerves are interrupted and damaged, they have to re learn how to react. It's very rare but possible for you to loose sensation. It's been my experience that sensation does return. Some even have more sensation than before, like me. Some surgeons believe that it can take up to two years to regain sensation, although it usually comes back well before then. I think it was about 9 months post-op before I had regained full sensation. Your surgeon might have suggested the crease incision because that is what he/she does most of, which is usually the case with most surgeons. Silicone can be placed through any incision - although I think I would go with what the surgeon felt the most comfortable with, or look for a surgeon that is comfortable going through the areola. I have crease incisions and I like them just fine. They are thin white lines. No one sees them other than my husband and myself. I can't see then unless I lift my breast to look in the mirror. |

Hi!
I have silicone, round, textured unders and i have the crease incision. I have 380cc. I don't think 400cc is too big... check out my post in the 'size' section with my pics of my 380's... 400cc is pretty much the same.. tablespoon difference really. I preferred the crease incision and luckily that was what my PS recommended. I would go with what your PS suggests. Check out some pictures of your PS's scars...you will be surprised at how they look. I have increased nipple sensitivity at present...and increased sensitivity on the under part of my breasts near the incision... some girls get this...some get decreased sensitivity...some don't change... that doesnt seem to depend that much on the incision Rachael |

my stats...
Thanks for the quick responses - I love this site!
I am 5'3" and 115 lbs. I think my PS prefers the crease incision. I was going to ask him on Tues. when I go for my last meeting. How long is the crease incision on the breast? |

As for incisions, id suggest u go along with the incision site ur ps chooses as his preference....i had crease, cos he said thats what he does, now, it doesnt matter where your cut, its total pot luck who loses sensitivity and who doesnt, ive lost 90% of mine, yet some girls here with areola incision kept theirs or have better....there's no hard and fast rule against either of your questions, but never be afraid to be a D cup, u wont look it really, honest.....good luck, hey, someone will come along and say ive just talked a load of crap probably, listen to more of the expert ones ! but good luck |

Rachael - I checked out your picks - you look great.
Maybe 400 cc's would be good on me. After seeing your pics, I don't feel as concerned w/the size - yours are perfect size. |

Thanks - I'll see if he has the try ons. I did see some pics of his work but, they were all pretty new incision pics, so I don't know what to expect from his work really. I'm assuming he only does inframammory because that's all I seen in the pics and that's what he recommended. He's suppose to be one on the best in our area though.

Hi and Welcome ~
Some more info as to how tall you are and what your ribcage would be of help. 400cc under the muscle will take you to a baby D or a mid D cup size. I had crease unders and am happy with them. It was actually my third choice but the one my ps does the best. Crease incisions are easier for the ps to do to get better placement. It is also where they go if you need a revision or a redo. Once your breast drops down you don't see the scar and ps tehcniques are getting so much better that scars become very light to invisible. There are many products to help minimize the scarring as well. So, as you can see; I'm a fan of the crease incision. There are other gals here who have had the nipple, armpit, and bellybutton. The best incision placement is the one that your ps does the best. Good luck ~

Thanks for the info. Yes, the inframammory is actually my third choice as well, but I think it's the only one my PS oes. |

similar stats
I think 400cc will put you right there at a large C, because 95% of the girls here have a smaller ribcage than us, so the 400cc will not be so big as on them. Also, I am going with mod plus's so i can have little bigger boobs, but not push the 12.5 cm diameter mark. Hope this helps!
